Excellent Router for Access Point Setup, Great Speeds!
I purchased the D-Link DIR-825 to use as an Access Point in another room, connected to my main router through an existing Ethernet cable. The setup was straightforward, and the Access Point mode works perfectly. I configured both routers with the same Wi-Fi names and passwords for better coverage throughout my home. The performance has been excellent! I'm getting around 380 Mbps download and 290 Mbps upload over 5 GHz Wi-Fi on my Samsung S24 Ultra. The Gigabit Ethernet connection works as expected, without any 100 Mbps bottleneck. For the price, this router offers excellent value. Highly recommended for anyone looking to extend their home Wi-Fi coverage using a wired Access Point setup.

Things to know before you buy it
I have been using this router for the past 6 months, and it has been working fantastically so far. The app that comes with this router is not user-friendly as compared to other apps like TP Link Tether, but it gets the job done, and this router has so many features that if you use those features, it is worth it for you. Setting up the router through an apps like TP Link Tether, but it gets the job done, and this router has so many features that if you use those features, it is worth it for you. Setting up the router through an app is a bit of a hassle, so I would recommend using a web interface to setup it. So far, I haven't faced any random restarts or connection drops, but the range of the router is definitely less than that of TP Link Archer C6. For internet speed, it is the same as TP Link C6. Both give full speed on my broadband connection (350 Mbps). If any problem occurs with the router, I will update it in this review.

Best for home but range is compromised even in 2g but it atleast covers a 3bhk home
In the price range is probably a pretty good router. For home it's best cuz it gives crazy speed tbh and it hardly heats up n doesn't show any issues which is what I've observed

Top class High Speed router
A very good router, I didn't need to change my subscription with ACT Corp to upgrade the speed to 200 Mbps, as the cable drawn initially for the RJ 45 connector port was onto 2 pairs and I had It changed to 4 twisted pairs when they try to push unnecessary plan upgrades or sell new router hardware when the issue is simply improper cabling or account migration setups.

So bad
Here is a strong, firm 1-star review written in English that clearly highlights your experience: ❌ Absolute Waste of Money! Faulty Product & Worst Customer Support Title: Horrible experience with D-Link – Do NOT Buy! Review Body: I bought this D-Link Wi-Fi router in 2025, and it has turned out to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made. * Terrible Quality: The router never worked properly right from day one. Frequent disconnections and unstable network performance made it completely unusable. * Extremely Slow Support: I sent the device back to the company for repair/replacement, and they kept it for over two months before returning it. * Refused Replacement: Within just a week of getting it back, the router stopped working again. I raised a return request, expecting a brand-new replacement, but D-Link simply repaired the same faulty unit and sent it back to me. * Unresolved Issue: Even after all this hassle, the router STILL does not work properly. D-Link clearly does not care about customer satisfaction or quality control. They keep recycling defectively built units instead of honoring a replacement. Final Verdict: Do not waste your hard-earned money or time on D-Link products. Look for better alternatives.

RANGE IS SATISFACTORY
So I have been using this router for about 5 months and the issue with this is its range as many of the other reviews have also mentioned that the range is less yes it is indeed true and this router struggles in 1000sqft house and signal levels fluctuate heavily sometimes at the same place I get decent speeds at certain time it doesn't even connect the router has good functionality I am using it as a wisp extender for normal people as a repeater to repeat my Airtel wifi but the airtel one outshines this by a heavy margin and for someone needing wired connection the wired connection of all D-Link products are good I also have D-Link dir 615 and it's 2.4 ghz range is extremely powerful almost twice of dir 825 I will say that no router in this price range has good range. And yes this router runs on 1.0.4 firmware version with support for easymesh I know many people need this so here you go. Tx Power on both band is 20dbm.

Great Speed but Limited WiFi Range!
I am using the Dlink DIR-825 router as an Access Point. The router was a little tricky to setup at first mostly because the default login Password given on the Box doesn’t work. You have to try out logging into the Router Setup page by using WPS mode and then do the setting up. All of it takes time. Moving on, the positive points here are the 5G and 2.4GHz modes which allow you to get maximum speed from your high speed internet connection. Also, there are 4 Lan Ports which are all GIgabit Ports allowing your connected devices to run at maximum speed. This means that you can get speeds up to 867 mbps if you have a Gigabit internet Connection. Also, there is a USB 2.0 port which allows you to share your files over the network easily. The negative aspect is clearly the range of the WiFi signal. The 5Ghz signal barely makes it to about 10-15 feet from the router. And 2.4ghz connection also faces a similar condition. It can reach a better distance but speed gets really compromised. So, to sum up the Gigabit Lan Ports and the USB port are the best aspects of this router. The WiFi range on the other hand and the complexity to setup the Router are the biggest negatives. It could have been a great device but eventually it is only slightly above average.

Terrible router
Terrible item. Both Wifi bands disappear all the time! You need to restart the router at least once a day! Sadly threw the box out, so I can’t return it!
