Interesting batteries. I bought a pair for my older RV515 and had an odd experience. I charged them exactly as the instructions indicated (full initial charge, run down to 7% then fully charge 3x) and the performance was poor initially, but after the third charge performance normalized. Now I get 3+ hours per charge on max performance settings. Not as good as the oe battery when it was new, but acceptable. They drop really quickly from 100% to 85%, then last a long time after that. I was going to give them a 2 star review initially, but the current endurance is more befitting five stars. The battery indicator works but isn't really needed. You do have to press the indicator button really hard to activate it. Now, we'll see how many charges I get out of these batteries.

I ordered this battery replacement when I realized the original was not holding a charge very well. The instructions were clear and thorough and it is recommended by the manufacturer to allow it to drop to 7% and recharge a few times. My purchase is fairly recent so I cannot comment on the longevity of the charge. Some reviews report a short battery life but don't know if these instructions make the difference in its performance. The listing has specific model names which make it easy to determine if it will work with your laptop- most likely if your model is not listed then the battery won't fit. The battery fit perfectly the first time for my laptop. So far I have no complaints and will update my review later on with some use.

Great battery so far. My original battery wouldn't hold a charge any longer and I picked this up for under $20.I have had the battery for about 2 months now and I could not be happier with it. I don't believe it holds as good a charge as the original battery when it was new...but that was years ago. Don't get me wrong, the battery has fine life and I'm just happy to be able to use my laptop as intended. I would say I get a good 6-8 hours of real use out of the laptop. I don't use the DVD drive much and I'm not a heavy gamer right now (used to be). I think it is well worth the price...I would recommend this to anyone needing a replacement battery and not wanting to break the bank on a laptop that is getting on in age.

I bought this battery for my Samsung RV511 Laptop. It fit into the existing slot ok, but I had to force the battery locks closed where as the original Samsung battery just clicked in. I charged it for 8 hours and the battery LED indicator showed 100% on both the battery LED indicator as well as my computer screen readout. The minute I unplugged the charger, the battery reading went to 0% and the computer shutdown. So I recharged the battery for another 12 hours and it did the same thing. I know it isn't my charger because it charges the original Samsung battery just fine (I bought this battery as a backup for long flights). I am initiating a return on this purchase. I will go with spending a few extra dollars for a factory direct replacement battery.

I am happy with the battery. My old battery failed after 5 years. So far this one has been a good and equivalent replacement for the old one. It arrived on time as well. I think if your pc is relatively new, eventually you might need an item like this. It was a good product for the price.

One day my original laptop battery just decided to quit working, but then it was 5 years old. I still like the laptop and didn't want to spend a whole bunch of money on a laptop this old, so I tried this battery.It works just fine so far. I don't think it charges quite as fast or holds a charge as long as the original battery, but other than that it works just fine. I may gain a couple more years before I have to purchase a new laptop thanks to this affordable battery.

This product burst into flames on my laptop and we had to replace the laptop. Don't buy batteries not sold through the manufacturer.
