Great for taking the edge off of auditory overwhelm.
The media could not be loaded. I'm so glad to have these earplugs for when things get a little too noisy and sensory-overwhelming. They block out a fair amount of sound while still being able to hear conversations around you. The listing for these earplugs state a "19 dB Noise Reduction" and also "reduce harmful noise levels up to 24 dB." The packaging and the product website both indicate a 14 dB reduction based on third-party testing. I'm no expert at guessing decibel levels, so none of these numbers mean a whole lot to me, other than something like, "blocks out some, but not all, sound," but the discrepancy seemed worth mentioning. I also like that the "in-between" noise reduction doesn't make me hyper-aware of all of my internal bodily noises (breathing, swallowing, etc) as much as normal earplugs do!I like that there are five different silicone tips. Mine came with the small size installed which felt good right away, but after testing all five sizes, I found that one of my ears was happiest with the small tip and the other ear was better with a medium tip, so be sure to try all the sizes in both of your ears. Once I found the right size for each ear, they felt very comfortable. Waaaay more comfortable than the disposable foam ones. Even lying on my side with my head on a pillow, the low-profile design is perfectly comfortable. The small external size is very discreet, and the clear version especially aren't super noticeable like the pink or blue ones might be. I like that they don't really telegraph to people around you that you're wearing earplugs. The case holds the earplugs in a compact size, and the case-holder holds the case really well. It's almost too tight, but I imagine with more use the silicone holder will become a little more flexible. (See my video for how the case and holder work.) I'm a little suspicious of the little spring clip ring on the case holder -- I've had trouble with clips like that falling off of keychains in the past. I was able to replace the original ring with a split key ring very easily, so that's an option if you're worried about the security of the case clip.Overall, I'm very pleased with these earplugs. I'll definitely be keeping them with me day-to-day, and will be glad to use them when I'm feeling on edge or irritable with the world around me. I recommend these earplugs!

More comfortable concert listening
I went to alot of concerts in my youth and wish these were available then, but I can protect my hearing now...These come with 5 different size tips so you can find the right size for your ears. I wanted something unobtrusive so I got the clear color, but the other colors are fun too. The online product description says they reduce noise up to 19 or 24 dB, but the documentation that comes with them says 14 dB. They do reduce the amount of sound without totally muffling it.It seems there is a right and left, but they are not marked in anyway so you may want to figure out how they fit the best and mark them yourself. The case is a metal screw top container that fits in a silicon ring with a clip on it which looks nice, but in practice is just OK. The case is smooth and that makes it difficult to unscrew, so I took a star off for that.

Seem comparable to Eargasm but easier to take out
I am a live music fanatic and attend at least 50 concerts a year across the United States and abroad. This means I spend a lot of time in very loud venues and arenas. For the past several years, I have been using a well known brand called Eargasm. They work well but are expensive and also somewhat difficult to extract from your ear! This seem very comfortable, although I've only tested them at home and not in a loud venue yet. The advantage of these is that they are easy to pull out of your ear because they have a handle that extends somewhat outside of your ear canal. The little carrying case is very nice quality. The highest quality case I have seen come with any headphonesAt first, I could not figure out how to open it! There is a small stainless steel canister encased in rubber. You have to just push the little canister out and then untwist to open it. The metal canister stays securely in the silicone. There is also a small carabiner type hook so that you can attach it to a bag, backpack, zipper, etc.I am super pleased with this item and will definitely be wearing them to four nights of Phish at Madison Square Garden in late December!

Exceptional, incredible quality, but only up to 14dB of noise reduction.
Let me be clear, this is in fact an exceptional pair of earplugs. They're great, made of premium materials, and they come in a neat little aluminum case with a silicone ring that goes around it. The earplugs themselves block about 14 dB of sound which is great for concerts or even just crowded areas, still letting you hear important announcements without risking your hearing. So, why the 2-star review?Well, these earbuds currently advertise "up to19 dB Noise Reduction" in the title. As if that weren't enough, they also say they "reduce harmful noise levels up to 24 dB " in the description. Well, as you can see in my pictures, they're actually only rated for up to 14 dB of noise reduction. Which means the description is either a 36% lie, or a 71% lie, depending on which one you're comparing it to.For a stunning price point of $40... I cannot recommend these based on the lies in the title and description alone. Even for that price point, I'd give them a much higher rating if they were just honest.I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.
