Best dog repellent out there....and works on people too! The product's active ingredient is hot pepper extract. Absolutely keep it where you can get to it quickly but not where a young inquisitive child can get their hands on it. Take it on walks, bike rides, etc....keep one in the car, and so on.

You always hope you won’t need it, but you will be glad you had it! I am a full time pet sitter / dog walker and I unfortunately had to use this spray. An off leash dog approached the reactive dogs I was walking (on leash, of course) and would not back away. I tried yelling at the dog, stomping, waving, but he wouldn’t stop advancing and chasing the dogs. Finally, I had to bust out the spray. I sprayed it in his direction (not at his face directly) and he immediately became disoriented and started sneezing. I was able to get the dogs to the other side of the road in that time, and the owner came to get the dog. Fun fact, the spray also works on humans 😅 So of course, be careful about the direction you spray it. But I was so very glad I had this spray, and was able to completely avoid a dog fight or injury. I will recommend this product to my staff, to my colleagues, and to any dog owner!

This is a bit of comfort to carry. We have coyotes in our neighborhood. When walking our dog, we feel a little safer.

Two cans of this dog mace for the price is a very good deal. The cans are small and the clip lets you carry it on your belt or in your pocket. I haven't needed to use it and I hope I never will, but I definitely feel that my dog and I are both safer on our walks now. I'd rather be prepared than wish I had been prepared.

I have used this product for 30 years. When I was a cable splicer I always carried a canister. If you don’t want to spray an animal you can spray the ground and that will deter them from advancing if they are not as aggressive. I gave one to my Moms home nurse. On her next visit she told me it saved her life at another home. Two aggressive dogs ran away after she sprayed this and she was not attacked. Well worth carrying at all times.

I walk my big dogs every day. We've been attacked a few times. There are some fake labs that run loose and attack us regularly and they dont like this stuff and leave. Today we had cause to use it on a Rottweiler and it had no affect. Another normal dog was with it. The spray stuck to its nose and it just stood there. It was not really the aggressive one so it didn't matter. Actually it was a fence fight and no one was hurt luckily but it showed me that this stuff is no good against big exited animals that want to kill each other. Even my dog didn't care about this spray. 'Didn't phase him at all. And by the way, it squirts about 5 or 6 feet. Not far enough in my opinion. A small fire extinguisher works better, but they break easily. Value for money isn't very good if you can't depend on it and you only have a false sense of security.
