Perfect for tight spaces.
This pull up bar was the perfect addition, it fits over *most* doorways, and has a lot of adjustment so you can be sure to hit the studs. I say most doorways, because we live in a manufactured home and the interior doors were not wide enough to support the bar. I installed it in my traditionally built shop, and it fits almost all the doors. If the door is 36" you should be fine. The addition of carabiner mounts is a nice touch, it adds a lot of functionality without adding bulk or complicating things. The welds are good quality, and the flanges are thick. Paired with the lag bolts that are included, I have no qualms putting my weight on the bar, assuming you located the studs and mounted it correctly. It's powder coated steel which gives a small amount of grippy texture to the bar without overdoing it. Being steel, you can easily attach a magnetic torpedo level during installation, making things easy enough to do with one person. Overall, I'm very happy with the bar!

Strong and Well Made Hunk of Steel
I wanted a pull up/chin up bar that I could mount higher than the average in the doorway bar. I already have one of those and wherever I put it, it's always in the way because I have other attachments hanging from it and I don't want to constantly take it off whenever I want to close the door. So I mounted it just low enough where I could grab it and high enough where I can do exercises without my feet touching the ground. Some chin up bars have mounting slots that is not 16" or 24" apart and makes it impossible to mount in the average room without attaching a board to the wall first. This bar is meant to be mounted above the doorway because the mounting slots measure between 31" to 36" which is the normal width of most doorways. So, you can technically mount it on any wall or ceiling, but you would need to mount a board onto the wall and then mount the chin bar to that board. The only problem I see with this piece of equipment is that the price at $99 seems a bit much compared to other chin bars, but I don't usually factor in price when giving stars because it's only my opinion of what fair market value is. The main attribute is that this bar is not going anywhere and is not going to bend if it's mounted correctly. And it has slots with carabiners on the sides for using exercise bands or ropes and pulleys which is an added convenience.

Quality build
I purchased this to install in my garage. Has a good feel and the diameter is perfect for my giant hands. I'd like it to be a little bit wider for me, but it will work. I have a wide grip.
