Q: Are these almonds treated with PPO?

According to one of the reviews, they emailed the company and they said they were steam pasteurized and not with PPO.

Q: How are these almonds pasteurized? PPO or steam?

From the It's Delish website: "It's Delish raw almonds are proudly steam treated and not PPO treated." So, if they are correct, they are steamed and not treated with propylene oxide. They are really good and at a great price! I use mine primarily to make almond creamer without any sweeteners.

Q: Were these almonds packaged on equipment that also packages wheat or other gluten grains?

It really all depends on what brand of almonds they decide to send you, they don't have a select one they stick with, for example i've gotten the delicious ones as shown in the picture, which i don't believe had cross contamination, and they've also sent me spicy world almonds which are: "Packed in a facility that packages peanuts, other tree nuts, corn, wheat and soy." Hope that helps.

Q: Can you use these without washing them and add them to your protein shake?

I have never washed them. They seem to be clean and I have never found so much as a piece of shell in them.
