I bought this as a potential Christmas present for a niece.But due to been hungover, bored but not wanting to get up and go out, I put this together instead.I really did enjoy building this. It was a fantastic way to spend the day.I will admit, I am handy at DIY and love assembling flat pack's so I did find this easy enough, just time consuming. But in hindsight I don't believe my niece would find this easy. It does say 14 plus, but I think you would need to know the users capabilities before giving them a present like this.Most of the pieces fit each other, but I did require using the nail file quite often so shave the tabs. The instructions were clear.Just to note the kit does not come with glue or batteries and a scissors is required also for making the books.All in all I believe I might have found a new hobby.

Bought this as a christmas present for my dad and he loved it. Spent ages putting it together and really enjoyed the precision of it and the detail. It looked amazing when it was finished and the little lights really made it even better. Well worth the money.

A overall really nice build i couldnt find one or 2 pieces so they're not in final build and i replaced the clock in the top scene with a dolls house one i had.Other thing to note i found having a better glue such as locitite works great as the wood might flex so you may need to glue a few bits i had to glue the front panel and the sides so they were tight and didnt flex out.Aslo the dust cover is not cut great so it pushes the front piece off on the left side if using i would put that side against side of bookshelf to hide it. Aslo watch parts on boards some break very easily a little too weak so care is neededCustomer service is good if you need any help tooAll in all very good compared to some i have seen.The above issues are only reason given it a 4 not a 5

I bought this for my adult daughter for her birthday and she loves it. Only had it a couple of weeks and it's still under construction, building time being limited to late evenings, and so far it's looking good.Not for the faint hearted as it is intricate and requires patience. Well designed an sturdy. Quite fancy getting one for myself. I would recommend this for someone who enjoys taking time over the building process as much as the look of the finished product.

The media could not be loaded. I had bought my cousin one of these for her birthday and fell in love with it after she had built it so decided to get myself one too. It took me two evenings to make it, all the pieces are well made and lovely bright colours. The instructions were really easy to follow. On the one I got for my cousin, (the one with the black cat on the side), you have to slide the perspex up to get to the sensor to turn the lights on, but with the one I got (nebula common room), the light is turned on by touching the star on the top, this is a lot better as I won't have to keep opening up the unit. Parts are fiddly but that is what I would expect as it is a mini little room. I did end up gluing more pieces than was suggested in the instructions as some pieces were a little loose. Please note that glue is not included. I used super glue to make the building process quicker. All in all, I am very impressed and extremely in love with it, in fact, as soon as I finished making it, I ordered another (Japanese landscape one), I can't wait to get started on it. I have a feeling I am going to end up with a bookcase full of booknooks! 😁

Bought for my hubby as he loves miniature models. He really enjoyed this one. Challenging but something different. It is beautiful and lights up. Has pride of place in the living room on the bookcase instead of in his office with his other creations. He said it was Challenging but not so much that it was going out the window. He enjoyed it and loved the end product. Def recommend.

This was my first time doing a kit like this, and I'm really pleased with the results. It is every bit as lovely as it looks in the promo photos. The best part is that, in putting it together, you really get to savour the small details as you go, and there's some room for creativity in how you arrange the books and the posters.It is definitely fiddly to make and takes a good deal of concentration. There is very little room for error. Also it is largely held together with glue, even in many of the large structural elements. I had expected more pieces to slot together, with the glue only used to reinforce, but instead whole large set pieces consist of flat parts glued together, sometimes just by a small edge. It's worth getting a good quality, slow-drying glue that lets you mush things around a little, and plan on patience to let some parts dry before moving on to the next step. I used a small disposable cup to squeeze the glue into, and toothpicks for application.It is also worth paying close attention to the direction the pieces will be facing in the final build, as they are only printed on one side.I followed the advice of another reviewer and made sure to press out each piece from the back to avoid messing up the printed parts, as bits of wood inevitably splinter a bit in the process. There is a little file included to smooth the edges of each bit.But none of these are complaints, just a heads up for newbies like me! The pieces all fit together beautifully, I had very little trouble punching them out, and the instructions made sense. It took me about a weekend, off and on.

Mejor de lo esperado. Rápido y fácil de montar. Incluye alguna que otra pieza de más por si se rompe alguna. Viene sin pilas, sin pegamento y sin couter, pero viene con una pequeña lima para limar algunas asperezas. En la foto final me tomé libertades de añadirle algún detalle extra, pero ya sin añadir esos detalles el diorama queda bastante bien. Un dinero super bien invertido
