The queen panel bed in ebony finish
First of all, in case you came to this bed via a search that also includes reviews for the King and Full versions of this product, like I did, the queen panel bed in ebony is what it says it is. It comes in three boxes: the headboard, the footer, and the slats.Second of all, this is NOT a panel bed like described. There are THREE slats... not enough to hold a mattress on it's own. Also, the headboard begins far too high to be used as a panel bed anyway--you would have a gap above your mattress before your headboard started. We intended to use this as a panel bed, but ended up going out and getting a foundation the same night we put it together so we could sleep on it.We got a 9 inch foundation, which puts our 11 inch mattress up pretty high, but we like that. Most people would probably be happier with a 5 inch foundation as it's easier to get in and out of that way. This bed, so far, seems to be fairly supportive of my size. I'm a 6' 3" 340 pound man. I'm a big guy. The bed has not fallen apart under my weight as of yet. And sex doesn't destroy it either. There has been one snap of wood when sitting on the bed, but it wasn't this bed, it was the wood in my foundation. I'm not sure if that's due to the foundation sitting poorly on the bed, or if it's due to the foundation being poorly made, or if it's just because I'm a heavy guy. With that said, when we put our foundation on the bed frame, it did seem to be slightly small and short compared to the space provided for it. Not sure if that's normal or if this bed is built slightly bigger than it should be for a queen.Overall, I'm happy with it. It looks great in our bedroom.Oh, one last thing.. beware the edges of the footer. I've scrapped my leg on it (through pj pants), and my wife has given herself numerous bruises.Update 5/2/15:Three years later and I am now 370 pounds and my side of the bed sags tremendously. I can't blame the quality of the bed, but the bed is the source of the sagging. The center pole holding up the middle slat has bent and broken off, and we've been supporting it with a support the same height at the pole and about half the length of the slat. But despite supporting the bed that way, the ridge that holds the mattress/foundation that runs along side the main siding's supports have broken and this is what is causing the sagging.Overall this bed seems very well built, but ultimately could not support a very large man. My wife's side of the bed is holding up perfectly.

Great value
Good product for the price. But I’m assuming these are refurbished pieces meaning the products people send back when they have issues with them. I’m only assuming because mine had mismatched screw hole hardware that didn’t fit the legs of all the slats only one. So although slats are attached to the bed they have no leg support underneath two of them. Hopefully won’t be a problem in the long run. I ordered this in black & I got brown slats. Good thing it’s underneath & not seen otherwise I would’ve had to send it back. Shipping was decent got the headboard & footboard first had to wait a few more days for the side rails & slats. Sits low to the ground just something to keep in mind. Easy to assemble had it together in less than 40mins. I’m a pretty easy person to satisfy so it works for me despite.

A bit difficult to assemble without another adult!
The boxes arrived in a timely manner and since I was by myself, with my 12 year old daughter, I had to assemble it by myself (with her help). It's definitely a two person job! The parts were clearly labeled and instructions were easy to follow. The only complaint I have is that there were only 3 slabs of wood to go across the bottom to hold up a boxspring and they have small legs that attach in the middle of these boards~one of the legs was too long with the little leveler thing on the bottom of it, and didn't allow the ends of the board to touch the sides of the bedframe where they were supposed to be screwed down, so I removed the leveler thing (it's like a small plastic base of a table leg) and then the board was able to be screwed in; however, I was aggravated to find out that the holes in the sides of the frame for two of the three slabs, didn't line up with the holes in the slabs! I had to push the sides in with my legs as I pulled the slab over the side with one hand, while trying to find the dang hole in the side! Anyway, it all got put together after expending quite a bit of energy doing this on my own! This is a MUST~ you will NEED a 5" boxspring, or larger one (depending on the depth of your mattress) because there will be that much of a gap between the mattress and the headboard otherwise! We went to buy a boxspring for $99 at a nearby store the next day and it fits perfectly now, with the mattress coming flush with the headboard! We bought a 12" memory foam mattress made by Sleep Innovations, that is wonderful!!

Just unpacked this bed
Well it is heavy, comes in three boxes and there is at least 20 feet of packing materials - nothing seems damaged but on the front of the headboard there is a small area that is not painted - I will fill that in......if you are looking for stark white don't believe this is the bed for you - it is more of a cream white, works for me but may not work if you want very white. I am about to put it together - I think I will do some additions - I am going to the hardware store to get some wood to cut two more slats for the bed. I don't think the slats provided are going to hold my mattress and box and me, I am 5'2 130. If you and your partner are bigger you might keep this in mind especially if you have a heavy mattress. Foam mattress you may get away with only the three slats provided. All in all I think it was a good deal, I couldn't get the same bed in my town for less than 699.00. I give it four stars - the color is not as white as you may want.

If wasn't for the only 3 wood and how low to the bottom is I'll have gived a 5 rating
Is very easy to assemble and it looks really cute. But you would need a box spring for this one.

Love bed!
As other reviewers mentioned the bed is kind of a butter color. I did not want bright white but this was a little more yellow than I had anticipated. I had some Benjamin Moore “white dove” paint. I painted the bed. It’s the perfect color now. It’s exactly what i was looking for - especially for the price! Just need a cream bedspread now😊

This bed is fabulous
It took a while to put together but once assembled, this bed is sturdy and I love the look of it. I feel like it can’t be beat for the price…and I looked around a LOT. I highly recommend it. Also have to put a plug in for the beauty rest hybrid mattress I paired with this frame. Together, I’m sleeping better than I ever have and have no aches in the morning.
