Helps with overall inflammation
I started taking this because I wanted something to help with general inflammation in my body. After a few weeks, I noticed I just feel better overall, less bloated and my digestion seems to have improved. The Curcumin C3 Complex is supposed to be a better form than just regular turmeric. It's more concentrated with the stuff that actually helps with inflammation. That's why I went with this one instead of cheaper options. My skin has cleared up a bit too, which was unexpected but welcome. I think the anti-inflammatory benefits are working from the inside out. It took some time to notice, maybe two or three weeks, but the improvement is there. The capsules go down fine and don't upset my stomach. Pure Encapsulations doesn't add unnecessary ingredients, so it's just the curcumin itself. There are 60 capsules in the bottle. I take one or two a day depending on how I'm feeling. If you're dealing with inflammation or just want to support your overall health, this might help. It's more expensive than basic turmeric supplements, but it seems to work better for me.

I use this to reduce pain and inflammation.
For many years I have taken both ground Turmeric and Ginger to help with pain and inflammation around my joints; at an equivalent levels to match both Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. This I only take whilst travelling, as a burst bag of Turmeric ruins everything. As I have-to take a lot more of regular Turmeric to equate-to the ‘extract’ levels of ‘root’ Turmeric and Ginger. This product is okay, as it’s from a world leader in supplements; but you’ll pay for it handsomely when compared-to other, but then they might not be offering the same quality product as this Pure Encapsulation derivative. You shouldn’t be too concerned with milligrams with certain supplements; as a good source extract is worth-it, if it just simply works. It the 95% curcuminoids which you cannot get from the same small amount of ground Turmeric; and that’s the ‘active-ingredient’ difference, here. The Curcumin C3 complex® is heavily researched And, although I have to take large scoops of the ground Turmeric in complete contrast to this ‘curcumin complex’, I have been taking my large scoops of Turmeric for generations with success (as I know how it feels when I forget-to take-it) then this ‘condensed’ curcumin product is worth an initial punt from an approved supplier; to let you know whether Turmeric will ‘ever’ work for you. Just take-it for at-least three-months to determine if it is working. You should then stop, and if more pain returns; then it’s working. Unfortunately, taking 6-capsules per-day for three-months (2-capsules with each meal) is nearly ‘9’ bottles of 60-capsules at over £30 per bottle, on-average; which is staggeringly expensive. That’s why I buy kilos of ground Turmeric and dried, ground ginger, instead; and save this for holidays.

High price
Easy to swallow powder filled capsules that look the same as every other turmeric capsule you see. I feel the price difference with other brands seems higher than the purity claim.

Really good quality, but definitely on the pricey side
I’ve been taking two capsules a day, and whilst I can’t say I’ve noticed any dramatic effects yet, I mainly take turmeric for long-term maintenance for joint health and just overall inflammation, so it's something you need to keep at for results. The capsules are a good size and don't have any fillers, etc, which is always good. They’re easy to swallow and haven’t caused any side effects for me, nor do they have any aftertaste. This one uses a high-quality turmeric extract (C3 Complex), which is meant to be one of the better forms, and I like that they clearly list out the curcuminoid content for those who like ot be a little nerdy about their supplements! That said, the dosage is 2 capsules up to 3 times a day, so the bottle can run out quickly depending on how often you take it - which does make the price feel a bit steep in comparison to others on the market, especially knowing that this is a long-term supplement commitment. Overall, i think it's a great option if you’re happy to pay for quality - just be aware of the cost if you’re using the higher dose.

Very high quality Curcumin capsules
This arrived in a neat small bottle, well sealed with a good 2027 expiry date. The 60 capsules inside were standard sized and easy to swallow. No aftertaste, nor did they cause me any digestive discomfort. Curcumin is one of those invaluable extracts that offer all kinds of benefits, especially regarding inflammation. The isolated extract is more expensive than standard turmeric from which Curcumin is the active ingredient. Normally my budget only allows standard turmeric which only has small amounts of Curcumin in, but these are particularly high quality, so not cheap. You are advised to take 2 capsules 1-3 times a day so the bottle will last from 10 days up to a month. I'm only taking 1 a day as I take other anti-inflammatory supplements so want to make these last a bit longer. I can say my digestive issues have eased somewhat since taking them, but this could be because of the combination with other supplements, it's hard to tell. If budget considerations weren't an issue for me I'd be buying these regularly because they appear to be really high quality with a good dose of curcuminoids.

Soft shell capsules which I prefer
These come as soft shell capsules, which I find much easier to swallow. You can see the colour of the Turmeric, in the colour of the capsules. I don’t take the recommended dose, of one to three times daily, I only take two a day, that suits me. They are supplied in an easy to store container. They have a screw cap, and underneath that a sealed label. Always read the ingredients, to make sure the capsules are suitable for you. I will continue taking them.
