Why Am I in love with Swatch Watches?
Ok. My new Greensounds White Swatch with a huge dial and a wide Silicone Strap is advertised as Unisex. I must say that most of my Swatch watches are, in fact, unisex simply because fashion has turned almost anything —specially watches of all kinds and brands— into unisex objects and that is quite kool. The Greensounds Swatch is sort of sombre, a bit weird and huge, but the thin red lines that mark the hours stand out beautifully. This watch reminds me of First World War women's British Army uniforms, sort of olive and red, a gust of wind from a courageous past, a symptom of bravery when we women made a difference. Swatches are sturdy, almost immortal watches. The Greensounds Swatch is a bit strange: it is not colorful, it does not stand out. And I like it because of its almost extravagant simplicity. Unisex rules!
