When I purchased my patio heaters, I was afraid they could possibly take a tumble in the Kansas winds. I was pleasantly surprised that the weight of the propane tank helped for the most part. But for added stability, I got this weighted bladder. It's a perfect addition to the patio heater and helps my peace of mind in the heavier storms.

We live near the top of a hill in a very windy area. This patio heater weight is a must have item for us. After filling it with sand the installation on the bottom of the patio heater was simple. I was a bit surprised that matching holes already existed in the patio heater base. Four bolts are provided and they thread into nuts in the weight itself. Actually last night the high winds knocked over our gas grill but the patio heater is still standing. We filled the weight with sand which was the longest part of the install. Works great for us.

This is a great solution to prevent a patio heater from tipping over. Filling with sand was a little challenging due to the small opening to pour it in. After filling halfway while angled, the base needed to be laid flat, and the sand had to be packed in by hand (using fingers to press the sand to the sides). The effort was definitely worth it. The base easily attached to my heater and provided more than enough weight at the base to prevent my heater from tipping.

I've already gone through a couple of the top pieces for our patio heater due to damage when it gets blown over during storms, so this weight 'bladder' seems like a no-brainer.The unit fits perfectly under my heater, and it was easy to fill up with water (although I'm going switch over to mostly sand before we get freezing weather).The plastic on this is sturdier than I expected, so I'm hopeful it will actually last a good while.Very pleased so far with this product!
