KJV Mini Pocket Edition: Zippered Black

This Bible is far nicer than I thought it was going to be. I bought it because I wanted to have a small zipper bible to take with me in my backpack when I go for bike rides. I didn’t want it to be too ‘good’ in case it got wet or dirty. Cheap and cheerful was the idea. But it’s very nice indeed. The text is obviously quite small but the print quality is high and the letters are very, very clear, so it’s not difficult to read: if you do wear reading glasses you’ll definitely need them, but if you don’t, you won’t need a magnifying glass either. The words of Christ are in red, including Revelation. The cover looks a bit nasty in the pictures but in real life it’s nice - it’s very pliable and the cover has a nice soft, durable feel to it. The zip action is clean and easy, and the zipper doesn’t stick or get caught on the ribbon. As one might expect, it doesn’t exactly lie flat, but the binding is not ‘tight’ so it’s really basically effortless to keep it fully open with one finger. The binding is sewn in a large number of low page-count signatures, so it doesn’t have that cheap ‘children’s book’ feel where the signatures have too many pages each. The paper is nice and smooth to the touch, a soft white that is not as glaring as, say, printer paper, and has very low show-through, so the text is very clear. There is an index of topics (one with what to read when you are looking for guidance on various themes, and one with what to read when you feel various feelings, like bored, tempted, lonely etc.), and there’s a check-box reading list to get through the Bible in a year. No maps, no introduction, none of the other usual stuff you get with Bibles. I would mention as well that the book itself is surprisingly light. I have a Cambridge leather zipper bible of exactly the same size, and it’s noticeably heavier (the present one is less of a bijou item though…). Overall I would describe it as a book which feels very nice to hold in the hand, which I expect to last a long time, and which gives that nice feeling of having bought something which is really worth owning while not being expensive. It’s published in South Africa and printed in China, and comes in a glossy wrap-around band for packaging. Thoughtfully designed and well made. A bargain.

This is the third of this great bible I have purchased. The first one I bought is slightly larger case than the other two which fit much better. The one with the larger cover case is also slightly different because it contains the Christian Art Publisher's logo on the rear which the newer (more improved fit design) ones dont have. Ive also noticed that the larger older bible is called "Mini Pocket Bible" but the newer better design is called "pocket bible". So I am reviewing this 3rd bible I have received because it is faulty. There are pages that are creased inside and look like they were creased before it went to print. I'm disappointed because otherwise these are VERY beautiful well-made bibles of good quality. The cover looks and feels like actual leather. The zipper is good and smooth, silver gilt-edged pages, Words of Christ in Red so I am not happy to receive a faulty copy. There is no way to contact the seller to inform them I want a replacement, only an option for sending this fault copy back without getting to speak to a human! The reason I have 3 is because I keep one and because they are a good price I think they make an amazing Gift for New Christian's who have started out on their walk with Christ to seek truth. I think a small pocket zipper bible like these are the BEST gift one could ever wish to receive

Fits nicely in my back pocket, used to carry my psalms and hymns in my back pocket or jaclet since I was young but it was freying at the edges. I wasnt sure on the size and print if this would be a good alternative but it has been great. Print is small but clear and easy to read, being zipped it stops the pages being damaged. Size is nice its compact enough to fit in my back pocket of inside jacket woth no issues. Nice quality and feel, definately value for money. Silver text on the outside is rubbing off but its used daily and had expected it to do that with regular use and doesnt effect the use of the bible itself.

A pocket Bible can be very useful for occasional use and this one with a protective zip is easy to keep smart . The size results in the smallest readable type which could be too small for some. If you’re able to read it there is nothing to dislike. The decorative cover is most attractive.

I bought this one as a curiosity, because of its small size. My eyesight is not very good, so I knew I would not be using this one for actual reading, although it is actually quite readable. I did not get the Burgundy color I ordered. My version is brown. I am okay with that. This bible is advertised as a lay-flat bible, but it definitely is not. It is much too small and light for that. It will nor lay-flat. The overall quality is nice. It features gilded edges and gold lettering on the cover. Also be aware that the pictures might mislead you. This is NOT the zipper version. Recommended.

This pocket-sized King James Version Bible has dimensions of 6.1" x 4.2" x 1" and 6-point type, so you know it's not a full-size Bible with large print. However, the print is done very nicely and it is readable--even for my rather aged eyes. And it contains the entire Old and New Testaments, with the words of Christ in red. There is also a one-year study plan for reading the entire Bible. Of course, this isn't the kind of Bible you'll want to read for hours at a time. No, it's a travel Bible that is so compact you can take it with you wherever you go. The cover feels like real leather, but it isn't. The zipper operates smoothly. I find this type of Bible easier to hold than the ones having covers with snap flaps--the flap is always getting in the way. What's amazing is that the publisher got the entire Bible in a size no bigger than most pocket New Testaments. You can't go wrong with this Bible for its intended purpose. Highly recommended.

Il y a une couverture zippée très pratique pour ne pas craindre d'abîmer les pages de cette Sainte Bible. La police et la disposition des textes sont agréables. Vu la petite taille du Livre, les caractères sont plus petits, il faut s'y attendre 😊 Je suis très satisfaite de l'excellent Rapport qualité prix de cette Bible King James taille poulet🙏🏼
