I did not know that crushed walnut shells had a gender ;)
I use this in my Chicago Electric Rock Tumbler for tumbling spent brass casings. It works perfectly well, has caused no reloading issues that I have noticed and WILL buy again.

No problems
I mix this with corn cob, I have nice shiny brass. If you can find that stuff for gerbil cages, it's about 5-10 bucks cheaper and the same.

Cheap and does what it's supposed to. I get a nice polish in about 2 hours
seems to polish very well in my Frankford arsenal tumbler. But it does make quite a bit of dust when you transfer it to a media separator.

Fantastic performance
Really cleaned up my .270 Win brass. I don’t reload often so I couldn’t justify buying a wet tumbler. This media works great although it’s a bit dusty. I think that’s just the name of the game though. I thought about adding some additives but decided to try it out as is. Performed beyond my expectations. I’ve attached a picture. Primer pockets still had some grime but some where perfectly clean. I believe it’s beyond expectations to expect perfectly clean primer pockets from a vibrating tumbler. All together I would highly recommend this product.

Now I know why it was so cheap.
Its like cornmeal. Its too fine to do much and there is so much dust.

This treated crushed shell material works perfectly, brass comes out polished, clean and dry. I use the untreated material that came with the Master Tumbler Kit first for about an hour to remove the burnt on soot and powder residue, then change to the treated Walnut Shell for an hour which finishes the cleaning process, producing polished clean brass.

I haven't tried any other brands of media so I really have nothing to compare to but the treated walnut shell worked good. Used it on some fairly dirty nickel plated brass and it came out nice and clean. I let it tumble for a good couple hours though.

Good stuff
This stuff is ground finer than the Lyman corncob media I bought previously. I deprimed before cleaning with this walnut media (with the universal decapper) and had with a few taps this media came out of the case and the pocket better than the corn cob. The pockets on most of the cases came out somewhat clean as well.Cases came out just as shiny as when run through the corn cob, and in less time as this is a bit more abrasive. Will buy again.
