Vibram Fivefingers Mens V-Trail 2017 review
The media could not be loaded. I love vibrams. I have had 2 pairs so far. The shoes I got were the size 44 or 9.5/10 according to the size guide and according to the previous shoes I purchase. My normal shoe size is a UK 10.The first pair were the KSO Trek Sport ones which I wore until they fell apart and the straps broke. The others are Bikila but they only lasted a couple of years of light use. The KSO's I hammered in the gym on a daily basis and I did a number of mud runs in them. They got washed often and got ran in, trained in and generally abused. The new ones I got are the V-Trail and I got these on recommendation from Vibram support on Facebook. I did some digging and was unsure and ended up messaging them to see what response I would get. I got into a discussion trying to figure out what I wanted but told them the previous ones I had and what I wanted out of the shoe. I wanted a pair which would cope with the odd mud run, outside training and gym work.I needed something that would stand up to the KSO's.I use my shoes for running, gym training and functional and dynamic stretches and movements. I have not used them in an outside run as yet but these are only about a month old and I am recovering from a event. My first fit felt a bit tight but as these are Vibrams and I knew they were going to be snug initially I wasnt to concerned. It took about a week of use for them to soften up and stretch into a comfortable fit. What I like, the sole is tough but slightly softer than my KSO trek sports and more grippy than the Bikila. The padding is comfortable and even after a couple of weeks of barefoot use they have maintained a odour free shoe. Some smell wells will be on my next list. The ties are good as it is better than the velcro straps in my view. I do think the velcro tie down for the excess string is to small. I personally think there should have been a loop lower down and the velcro strip should have been longer which would fold over to allow for a better more snug fit.I am including the unboxing video and fitting. Any questions let me know and I will reply as soon as

these are amazing. the fit was a little larger than it ...
these are amazing. the fit was a little larger than it should be but that does not cause any discomfort. i have tested it hiking in rough terrain that have no trails climbing mountains and after a long day my feet feel like they have been working out. its quite strange as we never really exercise these muscles with normal shoes. also no more pain in the knees after long hikes. i love them.

Excellent but don’t last long
They feel great but they have a very limited life span.

Worth it if you're serious.
Vibrams are great for building up foot strength but it is not an every run shoe. Toe socks are a pain, but clammy vibrant are nightmare to get on. I use them as a training aid more than a training shoe, if that makes sense. Great for lifting in the gym. Much better balance on on deadlifts, alt sqauts, standing presses etc.

Hi. I'm a chiropractor and it's very important to keep your posture in a good shape. So if you have good shoes, you help yourself. Lot of shoes are yo high or too low for our body.Vibram is very good shoes. Confit and support your foot. Good quality, with vivobarefoot and xeroshoes, they are the best . Delivery ok. No pb.If you are a runner, you need to get use first so be careful.

Could have been near perfect...
...except for one or two flaws that really let them down, both outsole issues.First, the outsole curls up around the big toe on the front and outside for some extra protection. This can be felt from inside the shoe especially on the outside of the big toe and is quite firm. Despite the rest of the shoe fitting perfectly snug everywhere else, I would worry about this causing blisters while running.Second is the 3D cocoon tech, and maybe sole thickness, makes the outsole as a whole too rigid imo, and has gone a little too far past minimalist for my liking. The upper on these is incredibly comfortable, excluding the first issue noted above. Only other thing I noticed was an aesthetic issue. When you tighten them, sometimes the material can fold/crease a bit, but it's really a non-issue imo..I ultimately decided to send these back. I hope Vibram take on board some of the points raised about this design (I have already sent them my feedback) to make them as comfortable as most of the rest of the FiveFingers range.

Great for long runs and challenging terrain
If you are a regular vff wearer then you might think that these are cheating, given their slightly thicker soles, but on very long runs and on very challenging terrain they are spot on. I did my first ultra (47 miles of trails) in them, having done most of the training in KSOs, and had a great race. Many things hurt afterwards but my feet were not amongst them. (If you are not a regular vff wearer then I would recommend a very careful transition over a long period of time in much thinner soled vffs, such as KSOs, which are much closer to the barefoot experience.)

Futureshoe
my first time with the trail running 5fingers. remarkable grip. great feel. I have an EU size smaller than usual, because I like the snug fit for the toes. my one concern is my big toes are wide and protrude on the outside edge of each toe... I wonder if this will lead to holes in the toe fabric before I'm ready for them?

Excelentes tenis

The media could not be loaded.
