When I used tap water, the color darkened significantly, and there were speckles, which suggested some level of reaction. However, when I switched to spring water, the color change was less intense and lacked the speckles. With reverse osmosis water, the water remained almost clear until I added salt, which caused a drastic color change. This suggests that the ionic detox system primarily reacts to the salt and not to toxins being drawn from the body. Based on this observation, I don't believe the product works as advertised. I would not recommend it.

I'm very pleased with the item, when it first came in one of the coil packs did not work. customer service did an excellent job and replacing it and even sent an extra, that's a AAA in my book also my husband said they put something in there to make it colored can't do that if the coil don't work right. Mine turn brown with red and his was black with silver so they can't put all four different colors in there to come out at one time I'm pleased with my purchase.
