Best Glam Rock Album Ever

Just who are you kidding?
This is not the best Glam Rock Album in the world by any stretch of imagination. There are so many greats that have been completely missed out from this cd with some real turkeys in replacement that it makes this misleading title almost worthy of investigation by the Trades Descriptions Act. There are 42 track inclusions and over 10 of them have no place at all on any such titled compilation. Golden Earring, - Radar Love, Hunter and Ronson – Once Bitten Twice Shy? – Queen – Killer Queen oh please!. These are great rock bands. There is a HUGE difference. As for Lulu being included - is someone having a laugh? Why also include Marc Bolan and T Rex three times yet Slade only twice? T Rex had 11 hits in total and 4 were No 1. Slade had 13, and 6 of them went to No 1. You do the maths. To me this whole thing (apparently compiled by an Ashley Abraham of Box Records who by my guess is someone who can’t even remember the era, never mind lived in it) smacks of a record company churning em out without bothering to check what is being released under these misleading titles. Well shame on you for not putting in the effort. If you think it’s worth releasing a GLAM ROCK ALBUM then do the research and made it a glam rock album with 100% glam rock hits that were at least top 20 and ideally top 10. There are plenty to chose from. It would have been much more truthful to have called this effort “Some Hits from the 70’s” because that is what it really is and that is not what I was expecting.I can’t find a track-listing anywhere so this is what you ARE getting for your bucks. I bought it without knowing this but now you don’t have to. I know what I think. Make your own mind up. 1. Killer Queen - Queen 2. Blockbuster - Sweet 3. All The Young Dudes - Mott the Hoople 4. John, I'm Only Dancing - David Bowie 5. Virginia Plain - Roxy Music 6. The Passengers - Iggy Pop 7. Stay with Me - The Faces 8. Children of the Revolution – T Rex 9. Elected - Alice Cooper 10. Mama Weer All Crazee Now - Slade 11. This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us - Sparks 12. Let's Stick Together - Bryan Ferry 13. Radar Love - Golden Earring 14. The Man Who Sold the World - Lulu 15. Judy Teen - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel 16. Perfect Day - Lou Reed 17. 10538 Overture - Electric Light Orchestra 18. Ball Park Incident - Roy Wood & Wizzard 19.
