Kawasaki Sports Style Walkie Talkies

I bought this at Ross for $6.99. Got two 9 V Duracell batteries for $7.39. Works perfectly, sounding crystal clear at 50 feet through walls, so I am sure it will work up to 200 feet as advertised. This is an analog radio that needs a good power source. This is not a digital device that either works or it doesn't, letting you get cheap batteries that you can replace often. Invest in Duracell.

When looking for walkie talkies my son wanted red ones. So I put "red walkie talkies" in the search. These came up. I bought them but when they arrived they were purple! Giving to my son as part of his birthday gift. I am hoping he will be happy with them though they are not the color he wanted. For the price, not worth shipping back. Will donate them if he doesn't like them.

My daughter spent her birthday money on these. My expectations were very low. Surprisingly, these work great and have lasted longer than expected and are still great fun!

Imagine the utter dissapointment my kid (and I) experienced when we discovered that these do not work well at all! The audio is inaudible, and I can hear interference (from a radio station?) when these are on. Moreover, there is no volume control either. I can remember back in the 70's and 80's when even kids' basic, inexpensive walkie-talkies were quality, and actually worked well. It seems that these days, so many products have been cheapened to the point where they actually don't work AT ALL! These companies that 'cut corners' like this should be ASHAMED of themselves for ripping people off, and dissapointing so many in the process. There should be law suits against them.

They don't work as walkie talkies...all we hear is very loud static. Save your money.

Absolute crap. Would be fine if advertised for "talk from the next room!", because that's all I could get out of them. Walked just about 20 feet away and all I could hear was static. I bought them thinking Kawasaki was a good name, so they would probably be great. They should stick to motorcycles.

Works only as a "pretend" walkie talkie with no actual transmission and without putting in batteries. The actual transmission functionality works only to about 5 feet, beyond which it is all static.

Wow. Spent 20 minutes trying to get these pieces of junk to work. All we could hear was horrible static with two brand-new batteries. DO NOT purchase this item.
