Exceeded expectations
I just took my first bath in this 'ofuro' and wow! I am impressed. My house, unfortunately, does not have a tub, only a small walk-in shower, and I can't afford to remodel at the moment. I have multiple back issues, and up 'til now I've been soaking in a plastic packing crate (yes, really). But no more!First off, this is larger than I expected. It fit perfectly in my shower, but filled the whole space. I am 5'6" and sitting on the (padded) bottom, my eyes are just level with the rim. I can easily sit with the bottoms of my feet together or with legs crossed. By the time it was a little over half full, it was up to my armpits. It stayed warm the whole time I was in it, and it comes with a little pillow and a cover with arm and head holes that zip open and shut so you can turn in into a spa. It was really comfortable.I was a little worried that the bottom would seal over the drain, which is in the middle of the shower, and I wouldn't be able to drain it, so I stuck a small piece of PVC under the bottom rim. It drained fine, though. Also, other people have mentioned a strong smell, but I left this in my closed-up bathroom for several days and never noticed anything. The pump worked fine and set-up took less than 10 minutes with no instructions necessary. One note: the rim is quite high, about up to my crotch, so getting in and out might be tricky if you are not stable on your feet. The rim does squish down, though, and there is an emergency drain in the bottom.Providing this lasts for a few soaks - and it seems pretty substantial - I would pay much more for it than I did. I am very happy with it, and so relieved to have a reasonable way to soak my back!

Great, but Draining is problem for small showers
I have to take daily Epsom salt baths because of health. Problem is that I have to shower off afterward too... the draining makes this difficult, because I have a very basic, small shower stall in my apartment.Pro’s:- Easy to get in and out, Provided you have full flexibility (it comes up to about straddling height, but bends/moves easily too).- the water really does stay hot, for quite some time. I don’t even need to use the cover.- 2 draining spots: one on side with easy to turn valve, another on bottom like any inflatable drain.- super easy setup!Cons:- bottom drain doesn’t drain well, because the weight of the water is pressing the bath floor to the surface it’s sitting on. You have to either pull it up from the hole, which is long and slow, or manually lift the tub when it’s light enough. Super inconvenient, a bit annoying, and for someone who has health concerns, this might be difficult to hold it up. (Ideally that drain would be in the middle of the tub floor, so it would drain directly into the shower drain).- the side drain with valve: 2 problems.... it is about 2-3 inches from the floor (which means you still have 2-3 inches of standing water after that drain is done ( hence the floor drain).- WORST PROBLEM IS: for a shower like mine, the bath floor sits on top of the shower drain. When you open the valve, the water cannot drain under the tub, bc the weight of the water inside the tub is acting as a plug. There’s nowhere for the water to drain.Solution for shower stalls like mine:I purchased a 1 1/4” pvc pipe, cut it down to about 16” length, insert the drain tube, and position it to drain over the shower drain, prior to setting down the tub and filling it. It’s not rocket science, but it can be complicated. The tub is flimsy so when you set it down, if that pvc pipe moves at all, the tube may not drain after all. (I tried carious other quick fixes first, which were only temporarily helpful, and more complicated: pool noodles, elevated Tupperware over drain/under tub... etc).Cleaning is a little difficult. If you use it for Epsom salt, the salt will build up over time. Use a dedicated scrubbing tool (I use a back brush, because it’s easier to reach everything, since the space is enclosed).Hope this helped!

Wonderful! I love it!
Ahhhh! I LOVE IT! EEEEEEE! It's great it fits right in my bathtub which I could never relax in because it is so ugly X'D...but now I can enjoy baths..8D the tub was very simple to put together and to use all of the parts were made with very good sturdy materials and there was plenty of room for me in it I'm 5' 6" and around 200 lb so I was expecting it to be a little small for me but it was perfect even a little roomy.. I could sit down on it with my legs gently crossed in front of me (not Indian style) and the rim of the tub is higher than my shoulders so the water level can cover my whole body even my shoulders (that's a first...X'D Haha...because normally with tubs I have to choose if I want my legs underwater or the top half of my body underwater it's an either-or thing not both hahaha) it was easy to drain and to dry and to fold up for storage. I would definitely recommend this! ^_^*update * after about a year of use the tub is still holding up pretty well...I replaced the plastic rib poles with wooden dowels of a similar size (I recommend doing that) as the plastic ones quickly became bowed, and some even broke as I removed them...and there is a small tear in the bottom layer (does not affect water holding ability) and I am impressed with the mold resistance. Still super happy with it! 🛀💕

Good size and construction
I’m a small 5 foot tall Asian, so this is great for my size. It’s bigger than I need, but I only fill it less than half way and I’m submerged already. The bottom has a nice, thick and squishy layer so that you can sit comfortably, and not feel the cold tile floor. It’s easy to set up, and to put away. There’s a good review on here about how to set this up and making sure this tub does not block the drain. I made the mistake the first time, lesson learned the hard way. The construction looks well made and sturdy, thick vinyl. Of course it’s not indestructible, so I’m not rough housing in it, not dragging it all over the place, etc. I think this is a good solution for those who like baths but only have a shower in their home.
