I was able to get this to work with the little side holes on a stick of butter right out of the fridge, but where I had issue was getting it off of the knife and onto the biscuits. It wanted to stick to the knife and I ended up using my fingers to pull it off of the butter knife. Then when I would try to spread it, it wanted to hold onto the knife again. Getting the butter off of the stick of butter was a bit of a task, but it did do it. The top of the knife has a larger hole and it worked a lot easier as others have said. The serrated side works great on cheese and butter and even cutting a sandwich in half when I pushed down on the bread with it. It is heavier than the average butter knife, but not too much. It definitely feels solid and spreads things like mayo, ketchup and mustard with ease. I am mostly happy with this as it does allow me to get cold butter off of the stick to place on bread and biscuits, so I am giving this 4 stars.

This is a great little butter knife! I am dairy-free, so I have only used this knife with margarine. This knife has a sharp edge, a perforated edge, and a hole at the end. The little perforations do not run easily through cold margarine, but they make the curlies with room temperature margarine. The sharp edge works well with any temperature margarine. The hole on the end makes thick curlies, and works well with any temperature margarine. This knife is strong and well made, it does not even think of bending when I try to work it through cold margarine. The handle is comfortable to grip. I am happy with this product.

This is a well made highly polished butter knife designed to work with butter right out of the fridge.It doesn't okay job especially when using the curler. Because the pieces are smaller, the butter will be a little softer when spreading on butter or toast. I'd still let the butter soften just a little after taking it out of the fridge to improve the quality of usage.If you're the kind of person who likes to maintain the stick shape of your butter, this isn't the knife for you.

First of all this butter knife looks very classy with a polished stainless steel surface. It has good solid weight to it as well.The curler side of the knife does exactly what you see in the product photos. The only recommendation I would say is to let the butter soften a bit first. Otherwise the butter is still more difficult to spread when it's cold.The shredder side of the knife is also nice to loosen up your butter as well.

This works best when the butter is room temperature or at least had a chance to warm up a little. Otherwise, the only part that really works is the main knife part. But after warming up, it does help to put it in smaller pieces. Not sure if I’m as impressed as I thought I’d be, but it’s unique for sure.

I absolutely love using this one-piece all-metal 3-in-1 butter knife for my refrigerated spun honey. All 3 aspects of this butter knife are working well for scraping my firm cold spun honey from its plastic tub and making my honey easier to spread on my warm toast. This knife is soooo much better than using a regular butter knife. I especially appreciate that the blade and handle of this 3-in-1 butter knife is one solid piece of stainless steel, and that the blade isn’t joined to a plastic or wood handle. This 3-in-1 butter knife is heavy-weight and sturdy. A wonderful purchase at a great price ($12.99 was my price point). Highly recommend.
