Have done me well for years.
I picked up the Tannoy Reveals when they were first released, several years ago. I tested them against the Yamahas, KRK's, etc... these won for me. I also have a pair of KRK Rokit 5"'s. I'm not sure about the inaccuracies other people have talked about... that being said, these have been absolute work horses for me - and provide a "flat" but bassy sound without being "bass deceptive".After 4-5 years of service, one of my Tannoy 802's went out. I gladly bought another one, and don't regret it a bit.

I did the listening at Guitar Center I liked the Yamahas would have bought them if they werent a hundred more speaker. They only had the fives(Yamaha & tannoy's) in the store both sounded awesome clean. Yamaha 5's beat the tannoy 5's by pubic hair in my opinion. Tannoy 5's lacked jus a little in low end. I knew the 8in driver would make up for it so, I went with 802's set up on the $99 wood speaker stands and isolator foam these things are so clean aimed jus right soundstage sets right on top of my ableton push. Buy the 802 not 502 if you want more bass. 502's would be great if you had a sub. I have them in my basement and you can feel the bass up on the 3rd floor thats not even coming near max.I noticed the most minute amount of sound noise not even decerniable except that I was really looking out for it. From what other people have said I think their may be some defective speakers or people with super sonic hearing or it may just be an issue with the cheaper 502's. 802's pull the trigger. Oh yeah and they are so sexy.just as a side note I was dead set on getting the ROKIT 8's before i walked in to GC absolute garbage compared to anything muddled mids no highs and unaccurate bass.

Beat value for studio desk speakers
Still the best value for music studio desk speakers. Excellent bass. Punchy center and not muddy. I have 2 pairs. Will buy again.

Economic line
I expected more from this prestigious brand. There is a flat sound, you are recharged at low frequencies... construction is good

Quite Disappointed -- not for those who require accuracy of sound
Not sure how these are getting good reviews, but they surely aren't from people doing clinical studio listening/mixing of classical music which requires absolute clarity and accuracy across the frequency spectrum. We have some other Tannoy equipment that is quite fine, but when we did an A/B test with these against our existing Yamaha HS8 pair, the results were laughable. The Tannoys were back in their boxes within 5 minutes. So like I said, they might be fine for some things, but an accurate representation of the actual instruments as recorded...that's not what these do.

NOT RETURNABLE?!?! - Bass response is not as advertised
First off, these are apparently not returnable? This item is not something I am happy with, and when I went to click on "return", it states it isn't returnable. I am also talking to chat, in which they are telling me to contact the manufacturer. This is ridiculous. The item was FULFILLED BY AMAZON.As far as my complaint with the actual item, the description reads, " 8” custom high-efficiency low frequency driver for maximum bass response. " - But this is far from true, at least from my experience with these monitors. I tried positioning them further apart from each other, and it still wasn't that great at all. They barely sounded different from my current HS5. Very disappointed. There was also a weird pop/clicking sound that came from the tweeter each time I turn off the monitors.
