Highly Recommend for off-road adventures
I love the TRX7. I consider it a must have for off-roading. Especially if you are in an unfamiliar area the addition of the road map gps is great and the ability to have the GPS guide you to the beginning or ending of the trail you want is great. Tracking your time on the trails and then being able to upload your trail to their site with notes and trail difficulty/conditions is great. I never lost signal, even while covered by trees up here in the Pacific North West. The ability to link multiple trials to create your own route through a mountain is wonderful and worked perfectly on my first use of that feature. This feature (so far is only available through website) is good but since it’s still on the beta as of this writing was a little hard to figure out how to use it, but once I got it it was no problem. Downloading and uploading trials is easy and the map is readable on the 7in screen. I would like to try the satellite view on the TRX but the requires a yearly subscription, so I’ll skip it... for now.Eitherway, I highly recommend this TRX if you like going on some off-road adventures and like the security of finding your way around and back to civilization with minimal worry of getting lost.

Great GOS!
A little hard to operate and manual isn't much help.

DON'T BUY A MAGELLAN!!!
DON'T BUY A MAGELLAN!!! This is the 2nd Magellan TRX7 I have bought in the past month. The first one would never acquire a GPS signal. Terrible customer service. The website is outdated. You can't get anyone on the phone for help. You get email replies at 1am from China that never solved the problem. So I received the 2nd TRX7 and this one won't even power up, bad battery. Lesson learned. I'm returning this one. Very frustrating how much time I've wasted.

Very dependable...unlike your smartphone.
Game changer. Works as advertised. Short battery life as to be expected with any touch screen running full time. Just buy a battery bank if you dont plug in to your vehicle. Your phone sucks outside cell range (ability to zoom in and out on your position gets glitchy). For backcountry travel you need something more reliable. This is the best non cell tower dependent touch screen gps currently avaliable in the summer of 2019.

Not worth the money for offroad gps.
This was purchased for use in my SxS on trails and in the dunes (Glamis). The unit overall has a good look and feel but doesn't operate the best. Some of the trails are off by quite a bit, the touch screen works so-so, the visibility in the sunlight is difficult to see the screen, the volume can't be heard with a helmet on. For the $400 price tag if I was to do it over again I would spend a little more and just buy a Lowarnce.

Great Features
The navigator has great features. Too many to mention. Best feature is setting a starting point so when you find yourself out in the middle of nowhere you can work your way back.

No Earth
Can not download earthview maps anymore. That was one of the key features I wanted.
