Tough to beat
At first I thought these were too expensive for what they were so I went through many pairs of cheap Bluetooth earbuds and headphones thinking I would find an equal. All of them either had terrible battery life, Bluetooth reception, or the tiny spring loaded charging contacts would fail. After throwing out many pairs mid run in frustration I decided to pick these up on a sale and never looked back. Awesome battery life, great Bluetooth reception that doesn't cut out if I turn my head, decent sound while still allowing me to hear around me, and super comfortable. These are unbeatable on long runs. Highly recommend.

Buy them!
Huge fan of these. Good battery life, sound is good, stay on my head just fine, no nasty headphones anymore. I use these for the gym and outdoor walks mainly but have used them for car rides and around the house activities as well which is nice because I can listen to a podcast, do dishes, and not be dead/deaf to the world I do notice sometimes with higher volume there can be a little vibration but the pros FAR outweigh and cons. I’ve never spent more than $20 on headphones so this was big for me. Well worth it! I don’t think I’ll ever use a different style.

This new generation of Shokz are even better than the last
I had an older version of these, but I'm really impressed with this latest generation. The sound quality is really great, and the control buttons are simple and easy to use. I also appreciate how they don't move around as I'm running; they fit very nicely. They feel well-made and sturdy and I don't have to worry about them breaking.

Comfortable to wear.
Extremely comfortable. Sounds great, long battery life. When not in use I put it around my neck and sometimes forget I have them on me. It’s great for traveling. Put it around you neck and it’s always handy. No going through my personal carryon to dig out my headphones on flights.

Works great in the cold with winter layers
Needed a low temp replacement for the AirPods which become increasingly unreliable and quarrelsome as the temp drops and hats, hoods, and gloves join the party. The OpenRuns have been happy at -10° F (so far), but moreso have reminded me how nice life can be without dealing with independently needy nano-battery wireless devices and additional charging case. The interesting surprise has been how much I enjoy them inside and at the computer. Not having your ears full is helpful outdoors, but indoors I appreciate the off-the-ear comfort, ambient awareness and zero fiddling required for short communications. Turns out I prefer working alongside its "speaker in the room" vibe vs the more attention-grabbing intimacy of traditional headphones. Sound & calls are plenty good, and the unfussy device exceeded expectations. -1 for a brand new device not to work with the Shokz App and the non-UI button dance for a connected device. Manual off/on and device switching has been less than effortless, but I'm still learning and expect I'll adapt fine.

Comfortable and good sound.
These are nice headphones. I'll admit, I'm not a headphone connoisseur like my husband is, but these are awesome! I like that I can hear everything around me, and privately have good sound for my music in my ears. I'm sensitive to having objects in or on my ears, so these are perfect for me. If you have a tiny head, make sure to get the smallest size. They are very comfortable, even if you have long hair.

Great product
The headset is light weight and comfortable. Sound isn't great quality but I can wear them all day and hardly notice i have them on.

Didn’t fit my head.
The headphones just didn’t fit my head. They worked fine, sound quality was okay for what it’s meant to be used for, connection was easy. With the large loop at the back it’s hard to wear in the winter with a hat or buff, absolutely not usable for cold winters. But even on the treadmill I felt it pushing into the sides of my head. It just never got comfortable and after 30 minutes I had to take it off. Weight isn’t really noticeable, it didn’t bounce at all as I ran. Buttons are okay, I’m sure I would get used to them over time. I’m sure it would have been great if it had fit better or could be adjusted.

I’ve been using the SHOKZ OpenRun headphones every workday for the past ten months, mainly for business calls, and I can confidently say they’ve exceeded expectations. What initially drew me in was the open-ear design, which has changed how I work and move through the day. No more ear irritation, no discomfort from having something stuck in my ear for hours. A lightweight, secure fit that I often forget I’m even wearing. Despite their simplicity, they never slip out of place. The sound quality is solid, especially when you consider the bone conduction technology. It’s not meant for rich bass or ultra-precise clarity, so if you’re an audiophile or music producer, this might not be for you. But for calls, podcasts, or background music, it does the job very well. There’s a bit of sound leakage at higher volumes, but honestly, the vibration becomes uncomfortable at that point anyway. It naturally keeps you within a comfortable listening range. The mic has been perfectly reliable. I tend to double-check how I sound on calls, and the feedback has always been positive. It pairs effortlessly with Microsoft Teams and connects to both my laptop and phone. I've never had an issue switching between devices, which is something I can’t say for most Bluetooth gear. I haven’t tested it extensively in heavy weather, but in day-to-day use, even in busy or noisy environments, I’ve never struggled to hear or be heard. Over weekends, I’ve used it on runs and even for the occasional gaming session. I’m no competitive gamer, but for casual play like Skyrim: Oblivion, it performed surprisingly well with no noticeable lag. One unexpected bonus is being able to game or watch something on my computer while still hearing my kids if they call from their rooms: a huge win if you're a parent trying to balance things. Battery life has never been an issue. I’ve never drained it in a day, and although I’m not sure how long it takes to fully charge, the USB-C connection is solid and hassle-free. The headphones still look and function like new after months of use, though I do store them carefully in their soft pouch inside my laptop bag. They’ve held their shape well, but I wouldn’t toss them around carelessly. All in all, this is a quality product with a smart, no-fuss design that works across multiple aspects of daily life. It might not look like much, but if you need comfort, situational awareness, and dependable performance, this one’s a keeper.
