It covers the seat well, but if you want to buckle your dogs in it doesn't have any slits to use the buckles.

Clasp broke after two months.
We bought this dog hammock to protect our dogs riding in the rear seat. It attaches with straps with plastic clasps around the headrests. It worked fine for about six trips with the dogs until one of the clasps holding it to the headrest broke off. Unfortunately, there is no way to repair it. We are very disappointed.
