needed a tool but worked fine
i used a jewelry crimping tool and very carefully squeezed them shut into some laces that were coming undone, they have since held up fine, and they look like the pictures :)

This is my 2nd order! 😃
These aglets are super fun! They are easy to use (I use an aglet pliers), and look really good. Using an aglet pliers they look like a factory lace. You do need to be careful to not scratch the finish while in the pliers, but it's easy if you take your time. So far I've repaired and made laces and hoodie strings and am looking for more things that could use aglets! I love these and will be ordering again when I run low!

DIY Crimping Tool
I did an ok job by gently using an electrical connector crimping tool. If you have a 9/64" drill bit, a good clamp, and a couple of 3/4" (7/8" to 1" is better) hard close-grained hardwood blocks like hard maple or rubberwood, you can do an excellent job. One end of each block will need to be machine crosscut. You can cut the rest by handsaw and make them roughly 1-1/2" long and 1" wide. Flush and clamp the blocks end to end and drill through at the joint. Allow the drill to follow the joint; don't push hard. Rub a small wadded ball of wax paper in the hole halves to lubricate. Once you have the aglet assembled with the lace and finger pressure, clamp the two blocks together with the aglet in the two sides of the hole. Apply enough clamping force to make the blocks come completely together. I had best results by turning the aglet 90° and clamping a second time.

Now I can make my own shoelaces!
I'm completely lovin' this collection of ready-to-install aglets, from the kit's color selection to its quality. So far, I've made several pairs of shoelaces from ribbon with them. Tip: Though the first set was done with needle-nose pliers, it was a lot easier to put the aglets on the ends of the ribbons with a crimping tool. If you're like me, this kit will make you go through the house looking for drawstrings just to try out all the aglet colors on them.

Decent quality, made in China
Could be lil cheaper knowing it's prolly around a dollar to make in China. Need to get an aglet crimper tool or at least compression crimper tool. Helps to put lil bit of elec tape or glue around lace end first, then cover with clear heat shrink tube after crimp. Would be nice to see some made in usa with actual good quality metals. They're pretty thin metal n color scratches off lil bit sometimes after crimping, would suggest wrapping with tape r cloth in-between aglets n crimper to prevent scratching. They look cool n make lacing up easier. Would be happy to have purchased for around 5 bucks really.

Perfect fit
My son’s aglets came off his Lebron basketball shoes. These were easy to fasten on to the shoe laces and are durable!

perfect icing
I have been adding bling hoodie ties and these ends are way cuter to give a pop that I was looking for. If you need color in your life these are the ends you need! Highly recommend
