Billy Blanks Tae Bo [DVD]

You gotta love it!
I have the Tae Bo box set from years ago and since it feels pretty dated, and I didn't want to get bored with it, I decided to buy a couple of newer releases. So I bought this and Billy Blanks' Cardio Inferno [DVD ].This Is Tae Bo is a more modern Tae Bo workout but it has all the traditional Tae Bo moves. There are fewer people on the floor (Shelly is still there, of course) and everyone counts out loud, which was a bit off-putting at first but eventually I got used to it. The workout itself is about 45 minutes long and there is also a separate instructional section that you can access from the menu screen. I think this is probably best suited to people with either some experience of Tae Bo or who are reasonably fit. Initially I thought 'this isn't as tough as the older workouts' but about 15 minutes in I thought I would collapse. This workout is tough but it is also fun and a great way to get cardio and strength training (using your own body weight) in one workout. Billy is as enthusiastic and encouraging as ever.I usually follow it up with some stretching on my own afterwards because I think the cool down sections of all the Tae Bo workouts are too short and I don't want to tighten up too much. I'm really glad I bought this. If, like me, you don't feel like you've worked out unless you're dripping by the end then this is definitely one for you to try.

Brilliant!
I used to do the older workouts but his new material is amazing! Love doing this workout and also 'Tae Bo Power'. recommend, you will not regret buying this, a lot easier than the complicated older workouts.

This is Tae Bo!
This work out DVD is a bit different from Billy Blanks' previous DVD's. There is less jumping and more concentrated movements. It's all about keeping up with the pace and not stopping. As he continuously repeats, this is Tae Bo! It was really a great one hour power workout.

A good workout if a little too 'American'
I agree with another reviewer here - the endless '1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8' counting throughout the workout is very irritating after the second run-through...but I manage quite well by turning the sound off and listening to my own music. Its a good workout and motivating, if a little American (the 'Yes Sir!' shout outs are cringeworthy!).All in all its ok but I would have preferred Billy without his crew...

Beautiful
Naturally, Billy has still got his mojo. The quality of the video is fantastic! Compared to those previous DVDs he had. The video will tire you out! Which is what I'm after so great! I also ordered the Cardio Inferno one. Warning: This DVD was not actually made this year. It was out since 2010 which was quite disappointing because I thought it would be his latest one but nevertheless, got what I'm after. If you've done Tae Bo before, the original gang is now gone and Shelly is the only one remaining.

Few problems at the beginning
The DVD kept stopping and I had to run it through cold water to make it work. Apart, from same old Billy. Really enjoying the workout

Billy Blanks Tae Bo DVD
Cant think of anything positive to say about this DVD, unfortunately. There are far too many people taking part in it,the screen is full of people, all very off putting, the continuous counting of 1 - 8 is just so boring, it never stops, and there is no clock on the screen, something which I think is so important. I think probably its a bit too American for us Brits !!! Dont waste your money, I just wish I hadnt, it will stay in a drawer until I throw it out on day.
