Fresnel Lens in 2024
Such a shame they went with Fresnel lenses, great build quality, feels really premium but cant get past the fresnel lenses and to make matters worse they are not good quality ones.

TL;DR. Its worth the price
Love everything about it. Plus I have bought the facial tracking add-on so it has full immersion. Despite the price tag, I think you know what your getting into if your spending this much. But defo worth everyone penny

Overpriced considering the competition
It's ok, but very expensive even if you get it on a discount (which I did). It certainly isn't worth full price, as the lenses take some getting used to (the fresnel rings are very obvious when you first put the headset on, though they disappear once you get into a game). I also have a Pico 4 Ultra, and the lens in that seem much better (and it is much cheaper). Comfortable enough, though unless you get a bundle you'll need to buy a lead for proper PC gaming (which is also not cheap). Still, at least it's not a Meta device.

Very disappointing
I've been using Pico 4 so far, and I was looking for an upgrade. Since this was 4 times more expensive, had so much hype, and it's from a good brand, I was pretty much expecting a good product. However I was very disappointed. 1 - Comfort: The comfortability is pretty much zero, it's like I am pressing a giant pencil eraser in my face as strong as possible. 2 - Lenses: The so said "Fresnel Lenses" are HORRIBLE when compared to pancake lenses, if you look slightly to the side everything becomes blurry. 3 - Pass through Camera/MR: When using it for the first time, the whole system froze down 3 times while using camera pass through mode (I wasn't even using any app or game, the system was freezing itself) and because of this, the camera was also freezing, making me slightly sick, as I was moving without the camera showing me what I expected. (I also have no motion sickness at all) 4 - Battery: The battery is supposed to last about 1.5h at least according to what the brand itself says, however I was clearly seeing the battery going down about 1% every 10-15 seconds, however I wasn't playing anything yet, I was just configuring my PCVR using about 30% brightness and 70mpbs connection (that's not even 1/3 of the full connection capacity). 5 - Wireless Connection: I used to connect to my PC in Pico 4 using 150mpbs connection all the time normally, however using this VR, the connection kept failing every single minute at 70mpbs. I sure thought it was my internet, so I did the tests, every single test possible, the problem was the VR itself. 6 - Operative Temperature: Using Pico as reference, it used to get somewhat warm while wprking, and hot after a while playing and charging at the same time, and that is somewhat expected. Using this VR I noticed instantly that it was way warmer at the start, no big issues, however I did try the wired connection for some minutes to play beat saber, and so I saw the problem. After about 15 minutes, it was so hot that it became unplayable, it felt like the VR was trying to melt my face down. Unusable. 7 - Full body tracking: This VR and the HTC Vive Ultimate Trackers were made for each other. But if you plan to do it, I will say that using it while playing wireless (which is the whole purpose of using a full body that's "portable") makes the WiFi chip overheat. Due to this, the VR gets hotter, louder and guess what? The connection becomes way worse than already was. 8 - Sound quality: Sorry that I have to use Pico 4 again as a reference, but the Focus Vision even being more recent and so said "premium quality" (even though I think the only premium is the price). The sound quality is HORRIBLE and cheap, I tried to play Beat Saber, and in Pico the speakers of the headset have a good deep bass, it feels nice to play music on it, however the Focus Vision kept disappointing me, the sound felt washed out, the bass is pretty much non existent. 9 - Lenses are loud: This is not a giant issue, however I felt the need to point out as it is impactful if you play as a streamer. Every time you adjust the IPD (the lenses) they make a very loud noise as they move, this sound also goes through the VR's microphone (which I didn't make much tests on the microphone, but it didn't seem to have a good quality). I never seen any headset do the same loud noise and this one did fixing the lenses, but I am guessing it is an easy fix if the company really wants. When searching for reviews I see a lot of hype and everyone speaking so well about this headset, however this item is full of flaws, and so their software. This leads me to think that the company or is trying hard to delete anything that speaks bad on them, or the consumers refuse to speak about the flaws, which are really important to know when you make an investment this big. I order on Amazon all the time, but it's the first time ever I returned an item after using it for about 2 hours. I was so hyped to use it, and somehow I found this very upsetting. This was my full review after wearing for about enough to configure and playing 15-20 minutes. I hope this review was helpful as it seems the be one of the rare honest opinions on Focus Vision.
