A great concert by a exceptional group of musicians

I have been an Asia fan since I heard their debut in 1982. I have followed all line ups and have seen them with Steve Howe and last year saw them perform with Steve's replacement Sam Coulson and was able to be a VIP and meet them all. They were all a bunch of really great chaps! My idol has always been Geoffrey Downes and I was able to talk to him longer than the rest. This review may seem like I am not getting to the basics of sound and vision like most reviewers do, so I will go ahead and get that out of the way now. The sound is fantastic, not raw at all, very polished to me ears and I like it that way. I did notice that Steve's playing seemed to lack a bit at first,like possibly he was not entirely into it. But after awhile he seemed to take off. I sense a kind of sadness in this recording as Steve had decided to leave Asia. Maybe that is just my take. I don't know. I am not a professional, just a man who loves progressive rock and as I write this I can't help but think about how one day Asia will cease to exist. They are getting up there in age,just like many other progressive bands who I have had the pleasure of seeing this year and all of my life, Rush (ending), Yes (future in doubt) as I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Chris Squire.This is not my best review as I write this with plenty of emotion and also am at a point when it seems like the glory days of progressive rock are slowly coming to an end. So what I am trying to say is buy this to own a piece of history and the end of the original line up. Maybe Asia will do many more shows and put out other release, but Only time will tell! The clock is ticking, so if you want the actual physical product do yourself a favor and buy this. You will not regret it! And, Ride Easy my friends.............

Me parece un buen directo de Asia, con temas clásicos y temas de su etapa más reciente hasta la marcha de Steve Howe y la incorporación de Sam Coulson.La presentación excelente, como es habitual en el grupo. Los temas instrumentales de Howe muy buenos, temas que no suelen aparecer en directos de Asia. The smile has left your eyes es interpretado a lo Wetton/Downes lo cual da variedad al show. El solo de Palmer, muy bueno, en su linea.La intrepretación de Open your eyes, muy buena, de mis preferidas.Para fans de la banda que tengan Fantasia, Spirit Of The Night, Resonance y High Voltage Live, es un imprescindible en la colección.Para oyentes casuales del grupo que quieran tener una obra en directo de la banda, cualquiera de estos citados sirve, incluyendo este Axis.
