Beautiful illustrations
Elegant, realistic drawings of a large variety of flowers. Just enough detail without being cluttered. I purchased this as inspiration for fabric art painting and stitching. Very nice that the designs may be used by others without copyright issues.

Great Quality Images, Yet Not Suitable for the Kindle Fire HDX 7.5"
I purchased this book to get some inspiration for my designs and am very pleased by what I saw between the covers. There are a wide variety of flowers that I can experiment with. I also liked the two Christmas themed drawings I saw near the end of the book. The reason I'm giving a four-star rating is because the images come out too small on my Kindle screen, and I can't zoom in to make them larger. That said, I found an alternative when I found the Kindle Cloud Reader for my desktop. They come out much larger so you can see all of the details in the drawings. I recommend this book for both artists and crafters. You will get a lot of inspiration from these drawings.

Very Useful Book as a Guide for Painting and Drawing Flowers
Great little renderings that I use as guides for my floral watercolor projects and mixed media projects. These are not that detailed so they are a perfect resource for my style of painting and drawing. The price was a pleasant surprise as well, since art supplies and resources generally run to the high end. I have only had this book a short while but turn to it frequently as a guide and for inspiration, more so than any other art resource book in my library (and I have many and they all cost more than this paperback book). There is no teaching in this book and no need for it since the drawings are uncomplicated and certainly doable for even a beginner artist like myself.

Floral designs for creative people
Beautifully illustrated book with very lifelike line drawings of a wide variety of flowers and floral motifs. I find the illustrations of the roses and irises to be the most lifelike. You could refer to pictures on the Internet or in an Encyclopedia for color guidance. Most of these designs would be easily transferred to fabric, wood, or other surfaces by tracing them with carbon or charcoal paper behind them. For embroidery projects, you could photocopy the designs onto freezer paper that has been cut to fit into an inkjet printer. Print the designs onto the plain paper side of the freezer paper. Then you can iron the paper onto the wrong side of the fabric you want to embroider (using the freezer paper as stabilizer). Reynolds(R) brand freezer paper has instructions on the box for using the paper this way.

Nice!
This is a nice book of flowers and stem flowers for needlepoint. If you like to draw, the designs are easy to draw, paint, trace, transfer and print-up. I have a sitting corner and wanted simple framed flower prints in the colors to match my livingroom and to place in the corner over the chair. I enlarged some, painted them my desired colors and frame them. They are very nice enlarged and visitors keep asking me where did I purchase them. If you like crafting, this is a nice book to add to your collection.

Add a lovely touch to your handmade cards or special messages.
I use this book when I make greeting cards. With pen and ink, I can easily embellish an enclosure for an origami card of some sort with lovely flowers. Sometimes I add watercolor over the ink. These designs are easy to copy, and they can readily be mixed together for many different effects. I use this book a lot.

Great!
I already own a couple of other Dover pictorial books and this one is just as good! Ideal for inspiration and ideas- the flowers are clearly described and although not the crispest of drawings they are easy to imitate and make your own

BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS NICELY ILLUSTRATED
This book will be very helpful for my art projects. The differents flowers are very nicely illustrated and there are many. There are illustrations on both sides of the sheet which mean that you should be careful in choosing the right pen for the job.

Floral Delight
First published in 1984, you have to excell at your craft to be reprinted this many times. And they do. There are 79 pages of floral jewels composed of 136 motifs. If you need floral illustrations (pick your own colours) for whatever purpose, then this book is hard to beat. Some pages are natural compositions for glass work while others seem to be designed for needlecraft or just borders and frames.
