Better than I expected for the money
First off, let me say this is a low cost Chinese made passive DI. If you are expecting Countryman or Radial, you're in the wrong listing. However, having said this, this is a very good unit in its class. I've been a professional theatre sound guy for over 20 years and bought one of these for a light-duty additional to my personal inventory.PROS:Heavy, well fitted, sturdy metal housing, with screw assembly (you CAN get inside!)Transformer isolated, appears to be the proper impedance conversionParalleled 1/4" jacks (means you can link out to an instrument amp, or Y both stereo channels together)Simple switched resistive attenuator to allow level correctionGround Lift switchCONS:Cheap plastic jacks - not sure how well they'll stand upJacks are mounted directly to internal PC board - may be a pain to replaceAll in all, hard to beat for the money for light or intermittent use.

Great D.I. For The Money. Wish it was wired in polarity
Great D.I. Box. I have been incredibly impressed with the sound in the practical environment. After doing some frequency response measurements, it is clear that the response of this box is very flat. I did find in my testing that both of my units were wired out of polarity. Rewiring this box to correct polarity is not possible based on the design. I am giving it 4 stars because this can easily be remedied by using the polarity switch on your console.Build Quality is adequate for the price point. The connectors are plastic and I suspect that they will wear out over time. Over the last year of use, I have not had any issues other than the writing wearing off.

Works great as a secondary di box
Bought this as we needed another di box. We have Behringer di boxes now, but could not get anymore of them at the time as no on had any on hand. Tried this one and it works great, its not the main one we use, but works when we need it to. Well built, have had no issues.

Solid cheap box
I’m not a pro, I don’t buy pro gear, I generally try to get the most bang for my buck especially with recording equipment.I can’t compare this to other more expensive DI boxes because my only other piece of gear that comes close to this is my sans amp bass driver and I only use that with my live rig. What I can say about this box is that it works like a champ! It’s quiet, it feels pretty tough, and the connections are solid. The 1/4 jacks are plastic and mounted to the board but I’m not worried about them in the long run because this box can be easily replaced.

This is what the Pyle was supposed to be!
This is a great device and also has a low price. I could use this device exactly the way I wanted to. Which is to Plug in the speaker output of a 5 watt tube amp and get the sound of both the preamp tube AND the output tube. I have the attenuator at 20db so that I can take the the signal into a mixer and/or a USB audio interface without fear of blowing everything up. The Pyle has the feature of the 20db attenuator but the signal is all garbled at that setting. Finally, I can do what I intended! Thank you.

Just what I wanted, a reasonably priced DI box. Best part ... it came on time .
It is a basic DI box so it is what it is, but I must say it is well made, came on time. I use it for acoustic guitar to board.

Both worked just fine upon arrival
I bought two of these for an upcoming gig. I tested both with all settings of the gain and ground switch. Seem to work as I would expect. The gain switch seemed to do what it should, and at highest gain (0 db) I did not notice any unusual noise or interference. I only gig 3-4 times per year, so don't expect them to get a lot of wear-and tear. So I'm satisfied with the initial robustness of the build. I reserve the right to update this after I have more experience with them.
