Visionary WETLAND 8x42 Binoculars

Some people say that these are "good for the money" which, I believe, is doing these binoculars an injustice.People like to compare with high end binoculars for bragging rights, no doubt. Don't let those folk put you off.These are great binoculars with nice features and will give you an excellent, clear, well defined view.The focusing control is easy and provides god response, with an equally nice focussing ring on the right monacle.With twist down eye cups it makes viewing with spectacles an easy process, giving large clear views that will please you no end, even if the thing you are looking at isn't that nice!Yes, the neck strap is thin but these are light weight binoculars and bigger does not mean better - the strap works fine.Buy them, you will not be dissappointed.

Remarkably good value; sturdy, confortable, and apparently weatherproof. The roof prism design works well, and saves bulk and weightThe optics are OK - in fact, very good for the money - but ultimately you get what you pay for. I have some high-end Nikon 8x30 widefield porroprisms which are much brighter, and better all round; but they are not weather-proof, and therefore often get left at home. Whereas I have no fear of taking the Wetlands out with meThe image has a slight yellow cast, in common with many cheaper binocularsthe nex strap is useless - became unravelled almost immediately. I have brought another one (from another manufacturer)Likewise, the cap for the eyepieces had one of its lugs brokenAnd the case is more like a washbag (something for carrying a sponge and razor) - also oversized for the binoculars it is supposed to fitEven so; the binoculars are very good for the price.They are brought through an Amazon seller - so the return procedure is much less good than if they were a direct sale from Amazon itself

I have been trying to find some good binoculars that would not blow the bank account. After two very disappointing starts which had to be returned I have found the ones.We have a cracking view across the valley and love to watch the deer and buzzards from our bedroom windows - these binoculars are perfect for this highly recommended.

Binoculars arrived on schedule and as described. Already had some good sightings using these little beauties. They're light, compact and the ability to keep out water has also been tested. What's not to like?

Not very good on detail for birdwatching especially considering the price - have since tried other brands (8x42) with better results

GOOD CLEAR IMAGES

Bought these going on a review from a bird watcher in Wales and his excellent detailed review. Couldn't agree more. Currently own a pair of 10\25 Zeiss and Leica [same and the best thing ever] which I love but wanted a casual pair for my father who likes to bird watch in the garden. These fit the bill perfectly - very clear, good light rendition, easy to adjust - he's 70 and not getting any younger as he says. They are a little bigger than I thought they would be but not a problem, they are quite light. Good comfortable strap, and handy carry bag. My Dad was delighted with them. Would be great for watching garden birds/woodland or for a beginner. Well worth the money.

Arrived quickly and well wrapped. These were a Christmas present and the receiver is extremely happy! They appear to have been used daily - so a good buy then!
