Good taste,
This matcha has a nice, rich flavor and works really well for lattes. It mixes easily without clumps and the color is vibrant. Good quality for the price and perfect for daily use.

Very very happy.
This is an honest review. And may be edited as my research continues. Backstory: The husband wanted green tea to drink during the day, for health benefits. We are coffee drinkers (and we do make the best coffee in the world. Seriously, we are ruined for coffee; strong, black, perfect.) We’ve been drinking about two pots (me: about 4 mugs) each day. But I Googled and saw benefits to switching to green tea during the day, so I thought I’d facilitate him, and join in the benefits, myself, by making a crockpot of green tea (bagged or loose leaf) everyday. But then I thought about matcha, and started reading all the phenomenal benefits of it. It’s been a while since I splurged on a Starbucks Match Latte with soy milk, sans syrup—it had been an addiction for a while. And when I lived in Japan, I was treated to real tea ceremonies. Matcha had seemed too special to become part of my daily routine, but I was ready to turn over a new leaf. So I spent days, literally, reading matcha reviews on Amazon to find something in my budget for this “experiment.” I decided on Jade Leaf Culinary Matcha. It arrived quickly and after a day of anticipation, we have been imbibing this new ritual for exactly a week now. What I’ve experienced: Just like others say, the matcha beverage gives me a calm alertness. I’m a Zen monk who meditates and teaches meditation, and this tea is like meditation in a cup. I feel so much more relaxed and calm, focused and just plain more “okay” with stuff. Could this be just positive thinking, or cutting down on coffee? No. It was unexpected and immediate. And the first day I did drink my regular amount of coffee along with the match…and regretted it (a little) as it resulted in an almost-headache and I was a little amped throughout the night. Having cut back on coffee (today: one cup) and ending my tea-drinking by 4pm, I now have the benefits. My method (you can see in the pictures): 1) I heat water in an electric kettle. This one I just bought because my Breville one finally broke. I’ve been really happy with it these past 5 days. 2) I pour the water into a little crockpot and let it cool to 176º F. The first day, the husband said it tasted “fishy” and I realized I had used too-hot water. Made with 176º water, this tea in smooth and delightful. 3) I dump in 3 heaping 1/2 tsps. You’d think they’d clump, but that hasn’t happened. The tea is a lovely shade of bright green. I whisk, very unorthodoxically. Then, 4) I dip a ladle in, stir, and pour a cup. I drink it throughout the day this way. Sometimes I turn the crockpot on warm to heat it up. The bright green turns darker as the day progresses, but it still tastes great and has its benefits. I just learned that the husband fills up a stainless steel insulated travel mug with the matcha just after I make it and drinks that throughout the day. I’ll probably be trying other brands, just to compare. And, one of these days I’ll be using this as an evening beauty facemask experiment, too. If I do either, I’ll add to this review. I have to say, we are very happy about this product. Very very happy. Thank you for reading my review! If you have any questions, just ask.

I"m going to look elsewhere, this is a ripoff!
Just went up $10 a bag - ILoved the tea but "m going to look elsewhere, this is a ripoff! Makes a delicious Matcha Tea! I have tried many brands on Amazon and elsewhere, even in Japan last year. This is my favorite brand for every day drinking. It’s smooth and delicious and I top it off with whipped Almond milk each morning. I couldn’t be happier with the consistency and taste it’s delicious and not bitter like some of the other brands I’ve tried. I recommend using a matcha whisk. I also add a teaspoon of this to my morning shake because of the benefits Here is how I make my matcha: Note: If I’m not in a rush sometimes I’ll sift my matcha with a sifter/strainer into the cup for a smoother matcha but it’s up to you and I don’t think it’s always necessary. 1) Add one small scoop of matcha (if you don’t have a scoop use approximately a teaspoon for a large cup ( see my cup in picture) or 1/2 teaspoon for a small matcha cup ( like the one my whisk is in on my picture). Of course you can use a little more or less but this is really all you need and if you use too much it will just sink to the bottom of the cup and be wasted. So don’t overdo it- matcha is concentrated green tea and you do not need a lot. 2) Begin to boil water but before it boils take pan off stove add just a little of the water (about two tablespoons) to the cup of matcha, Note: it is important not to boil the water because if the water is too hot it will destroy the antioxidants in the matcha tea and yiu will lose all the Health befnefits of drinking it. 3) Put pan back on stove but put heat down so it stays hot but does not boil. 4) Use a bamboo whisk amd whip up the matcha and small amount of water till it froths. 4) Add the rest of the hot i(but not boiled) water, leaving room for your milk if you use it. 5) Pour your milk in another cup and whip with bamboo whisk ( you will need a big cup because it will spill all over the place if you use a small one ) or put in blender for a few minutes and blend till frothy. I use my Vitamix and whip the milk while I’m making the matcha. (Optional) You can heat the milk before you whip it up but I find this unnecessary as I like the cool whipped milk (Almond milk in my case) delicious atop the hot matcha tea. Also I find that the heating process thins the milk out and I like it thick and frothy. 6) Pour the whipped milk into your cup of Matcha. (Optional but I do this as it really makes the cup for me): Take a little more milk (about half a small matcha cup like the one shown in my picture with the whisk in it) and whip it using the bamboo whisk. Whip it until it is very frothy and light and fluffy. Then take that milk and pour it on the very top of the cup so you have a nice fluffy white frosting on the top. Enjoy!
