This machine also has a button which will skip forward by 1 minute increments when watching playback on the hdd. Another button skips back 30 seconds. Hope this is useful. Appendix. The skip variabe and replay buttoms are variable and can be set to from 15 sec I think it is - to five minutes. I find pressing the button once, and skipping forward 5 mins takes care of most ad breaks. If its gone a little too far its easy enough to just go back 30 secs."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Does this have digital audio connections for sound bar","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Yes it has Digital Audio OUT connections at the back of the machine (red and white connection)"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"does this item come with remote control","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Hi Tony, yes it should have a remote control with it and instructions they are very good quality models I am very pleased with it, Keith."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Is it possible to record from tuner directly to disc and pause adverts out?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Hi, I've typed my response then it went off suddenly, not sure if it reached you as unfinished. I've not yet found a way to pause adverts out other than live viewing when I press pause button when adverts comes on then press pause button again when the next part of the program comes on. I re-edit my recorded programs with Edit's Scene Deletion then press Start when an advert or boring parts comes on then press End at the point you want to delete then press Delete - it then says are you sure?. I've saved lots of space, nearly 15 minutes per one hour programs before I copy to my DVD for later private viewing, mostly documentaries/debates. take advantage of one hour program's progress bar with 15 minutes slots which I use >> button to fast forward to that 15 minutes slot which are almost always adverts, use < or > buttons for fine tuning to start or end of adverts before deleting. Or simply fast forward to next part you want to watch. I prefer Long Play than Extended Play for clarity on playback from DVD. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Linda"}}]}]}
