Nice Little Town: Adult Coloring Book (Stress Relieving Coloring Pages, Coloring Book for Relaxation)

I don't know what took me so long to find this series or this artist, but now that I have, boy let me tell you, I own everything she has ever made. These little villages are so cute. Little mice going about their daily lives do their thing. The details are flawless, the images are crisp and whimsical, and with the world of adult coloring books headed towards AI, it is nice to find an artist who truly draws the images themselves. The paper leaves little to be desired but thats with most amazon printed books. Just try one, I promise you will be back for the whole series. Take it from me, as someone who own entirely WAY to many coloring books. Dont judge.....you probably do to. lol

The media could not be loaded.  This is the second Nice Little Town to focus on the cute abodes of mice. This first book showed houses which were more in line with traditional cottage forest homes – cute and vintage looking.With this little town, as with all the others, the artist switches things up. These mice have a more modern look to the. They are longer and lankier and wear clothes that might look a little more in line with our times.The mice are having fun. Not only are they out and about in the town, they are at the library or getting a quick tan in the town center. Many of the houses have a theme included rather than a just a change of colors.These last two mouse house coloring books tickle my fancy. The others houses in the series are set up for people but I wonder if there might someday be birdhouses or houses for trolls or even for bunny rabbits.Really, the choice can be endless if the artist chooses to explore the avenues available.This is what I found in this coloring book:25 mouse abode designs in the book plus bonus images from other books by the artistPrinted one side of the pagePaper is typical inexpensive quality by CreateSpace printing: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding.Glue BindingCreate Space Paper/Media QualityAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work fairly well with this publisher’s paper provided you don’t press extremely hard while coloring. I find that I can layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and blended easily with a pencil style blending stick. This is true of both oil and wax based pencils. I have also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.I like to use a blotter when working in this type of book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.

I just LOVE this adult coloring book. I have had a lot of anxiety lately and sitting down to color in this book is relaxing and all the cute little mice make me smile. ~Robert's Wife~

Paper is not completely smooth like I prefer but it's doable and works well with colored pencils.The pictures are fun with plenty of things to color but not so overwhelming you stop trying to color.

Paper is thin but has some tooth to it. The pictures are so cute. Some of it is detail work; prisma's won't work for that in my opinion. I thought this was going to be a smaller book for some reason, but it is a full sized book, the size of copy paper (8.5 x 11). The back of the pages are black, which I like if you are going to use marker. Love this book!

I absolutely adore the Nice Little Town series of books. These books are fantastic fun to do. And I love the imaginary settings. This whole series is such a treasure. As somebody who has to spend a lot of time off her feet, this charming series of books keep me company and let me express myself. I look forward to seeing what comes next in this series.

I bought these for myself and for my grand children. They really enjoy the pictures and they color them according to their moods at the time. The paper is mainly suited for colored pencils. That was the only disappointment. But Tanya does a great job and her artwork is very clever, the detail certainly delightful. I will continue to purchase her books for myself and for the grand children. :)

Great coloring book. It was fun. Good detail, decent quality paper. Scenery was fun to color. Excerpts in the back of th book from her other coloring books! Gave you an ideal of what her other books were like!

I disegni di Tanya sono veramente adorabili, con Nice Litlle Town e i suoi topini ha creato un piccolo mondo di serenità sicuramente utopica ma non per questo meno gradevole.Oltre a varie scene appunto della serie di Nice Little Town, alla fine l'artista include 1 pagina ciascuno tratta da altri suoi album, di gusto anche diverso tra di loro, che fanno davvero venire voglia di ampliare la propria collezione o regalare a qualcuno con la stessa passione.La qualità della carta è quella standard per questo tipo di prodotto - se usate pennarelli ( o calcate molto quando colorate con le matite) mettete un cartoncino di protezione sotto al vostro foglio. Il retro di ogni pagina è stato stampato in nero immagino per mascherare eventuali traspirazioni di colore.Sicuramente lo consiglio, il prezzo vale assolutamente la gradevolezza dei disegni e il piacere che avrete colorandoli.
