Boots a little slow but but otherwise no issues and all features that I've utilized have worked as expected.

This motherboard has everything you need and more. Very sturdy with heavy metal plate on the backside of board so can't flex when plugging your connectors. Lots of 10gb USB connectors on back along with USBC, thunderbolt connectors and 10gb lan for quick transfers with my NAS. Fairly easy to make all connections to case and installation of processor, ram and m.2 hard drive. Has a beefy heatsink for cooling processor.

I upgraded from an Alienware R13 and this thing is a beast. The only thing I dont like about the mobo is that the 2nd Gen 5 m.2 slot. For me to be able to use it, I would have to sacrifice the GPU's speed. Overall though I love this Mobo. Don't buy this. Every BIOS update wipes out the RAID settings and you lose everything and have to reinstall the OS. And the USB stick included with Rapid Storage Technology doesn't work. You have to download it and extract to your own USB. This never happened with the ASUS motherboard I had

The media could not be loaded. Purchased my first high end MBO to pair it with Intel Core Ultra 285K CPU. This MBO run TEAMGROUP 48GB 2 stick DDR5 8200Mhz in XMP profile Overclocked @ 8600mhz using MSI preset in the BIOS. I am happy with 8600mzh and did not bother to try higher speed. I am waiting for RTX 5080 Nvidia release the new GPU on 1/30/25. Cire Ultra i9 285K overclocked all P- Cores @5.6ghz and all E-Cores @5.1ghz. Ran Cinebench R23 results of 40,000 points. I will probably try 5.7ghz all P Cores at a later date. I am on a custom built watercooling with GTX 360mm radiator and small fan sit behind the CPU to keep temperature in check during high CPU load.

This Z890 motherboard from MSI is fantastic for the new 200 series processors from Intel.The construction is top notch, 8-layer, server grade components throughout.From the overbuilt vrm power stages to the reinforcement of the pcie slots this motherboard is a sight to behold. While this motherboard isn't cheap $649 on Amazon, I think it's construction more than justifies the higher price. I think the additional pcie lanes are great as you can now use a gen 5 nvme in slot m.1 without cutting into the Gpu lanes, x16 to x8 and cutting its output in half.Great job MSI..!

The motherboard IO has plenty of high-speed interfaces, type-c and type-a ports. The new version of MSI motherboard is equipped with additional PCIE power supply for M.2. The CPU power supply is very sufficient to provide sufficient power for CPU overclocking. You can always trust MSI's BIOS, which is exquisite, easy to understand and easy to set up.Recommended for people who need a high-end motherboard.
