A good budget option!
I chose the GERYON Vacuum SealerE2900-MS/M. This is the first vacuum sealer I have purchased. I did some investigating online for the best budget vacuum sealer option and this product was mentioned in several articles and got pretty good revies. Compared to the FoodSaver and Anova brands, the cost was very reasonable. It is small and light-weight so easy to store. I have only used it once, but it performed well and was super user-friendly.

GREAT product. Look no further.
This little guy is a beast. It has great power. It's lightweight and so simple to use. My FoodSaver brand pooped out on me. It cost well over $100 and was VERY heavy, and quite literally, a pain to use. Although my FoodSaver had a built-in cutter and internal storage for a roll of bags, I prefer this one in spades. I don't need bells and whistles. I just want something that works great, and this is it. This vacuum sealer has very quick suction power and a great sealer. Not to mention, it does not break the bank. You can't go wrong with this product. Just buy it!

Great price, works great, be very careful with the accessory port
Overall, five stars — it’s not perfect but it’s real good and does the job — especially for the price!!!Pros: Great price ! First vacuum sealer I’ve ever had. Easy and intuitive to use, doesn’t require proprietary special bags (so far just about any vacuum sealer bags I’ve bought have worked), lightweight and small (see pic for comparison to a box of aluminum foil). I just stash it on a shelf and grab it when I need it — love that it is not taking up valuable real estate on the kitchen counter. I’ve used it a lot and it’s fussy and uncomplicated— at least the bag sealer part. Has an accessory port for canisters, etc and comes with tubing, and a plastic connector for the port (and a spare). I found a $12 generic mason jar sealing kit on Amazon and now I can use that port to vacuum seal mason jars — great for dry storage and meal prep (especially salads in the fridge — getting that air out makes the vegetables last longer, and I can make 4 or 5 at a time and then just grab a jar and go).The cons: the accessory port is kind of funky and fussy to connect to. Be gentle - the very first time I did it, the plastic connector broke off inside the vacuum sealer. And of course that happened just outside the Amazon return window. I had to disassemble the sealer to extract the broken piece, which was no small feat. And now I am down to one connector — and as far as I can see, there is nowhere to buy a replacement. Not sold on the Geryon website that I can find; I contacted them and am waiting to hear from them about whether I can buy a spare. I also haven’t found a universal or generic version online either; my mason jar kit came with three different types of connectors (meant for different kinds of sealers) and was described in at least one review as being more or less "universal" because of this -- but none of their connectors actually fit this Geryon sealer. Since removing the broken piece, the accessory port does again work now with the one connector piece I have left and I’m just doing my best to be very gentle and also not to lose that connector, since I don't have a backup.Overall tho -- still recommend -- love this sealer tho and I use it often. I think it's a great bargain and nice to have to prepare for the apocalypse or whatever.

First timer. Update: I love this thing! Changes to diet are tremedous.
Update a couple months after purchase:I got the hang of it and can't complain about the suction. When you buy good plastic rolls and in large quantity, packing proteins/veggies is a breeze! I can eat steak every day now. What I do is portion a large rib eye from Costco and use this...I've got 10 portions ready to go. Cooking is also easy...I didn't buy an actual sous vide device. Instead, I use a meat thermometer and keep the water at around 135-140 degrees. I use a different brand of plastic rolls from here on Amazon and it comes in Xlarge and regular sizes that work great with anything I want to store. I'm so glad that I could afford this sealer. The only thing I feel bad about now is how much plastic I use...>>ORIGINAL Review Follows (4 Stars):This is my first vaccuum sealer ever! I bought it for the sole purpose of sealing proteins that might otherwise cause my whole place to smell. I live in an apt so I try to be mindful of smell and noise. So the point is I wanted to be able to use this to vaccum seal big chunks of meat like prime rib and cook it sous vide...Well, my first attempt was a fail and now that I understand what I did wrong I'm leaving these tips hoping it'll help since the actual manual is too simple.1. The seal is super important. You want a nice clean translucent line (see pic). If the bag is taut and not aligned well, you'll get a jagged seal. There's more chance of little holes that make vaccuuming difficult. Also for a seal, you dont have to press down on the top of the sealer. It'll work without the pressure.2. To vaccuum: the end of the bag MUST be placed within the "vaccuum chamber" which is an inner groove or channel along the bottom. I missed this part and wasted time.3. Close the top or lid of the sealer by: pressing hard on each outer corner ONE BY ONE so you can confirm that the locks "click". Also super important as it didnt vaccuum without this step.Overall: I got it to work but Im disappointed in how much time and effort I wasted to get to this point. It makes a loud rumbling sound and not something you want going for ages inside an apt. I'm giving this 4/5 stars because yes, it comes with bags, a roll, costs less than othera, and looks decent. But it lost a star in how well it vaccuumed ( did not completely vaccuum my large cut of prime rib ) and the ease of using it. You have to pay a lot of attention to detail! I can see already that the parts will get wear just from closing and locking the lid over time.Did compensate for the fact that some of this is on me since things might be easier if the ratio of item to bag is greater. Maybe I'll invest in XL roll of bags...

works well
ive used this for a few months now and it still works great. i was hesitant about buying since some of the reviews say that it stops working/sealing after a few uses. i use this A LOT, and it still works great. i buy the cheapest, knock off bags to use on it and they work fine with this. i take it in and out of the drawer where its stored, so, even moving it around a lot, it still works. the only time i had an issue with it working correctly was due to my error, and nothing about the machine. the cord was wrapped around the leg so it didnt sit flat. somehow it wouldnt vacum seal when it was like that. so, just make sure its on a flat surface. when using it to seal a lot of items, the inside plate does get warm, use caution. if youre only sealing a few things at a time, its never felt warm.
