These knives are made by Laguiole Jean Dobost in France. Each knife is well made using a blade that runs the full length of the knife to the end of the handle. The blade measures about 1mm thick which is less than the 2.5mm blades used in Laguioles top of the range knives.The knives feel very well made though the finish isn't quite as pristine as Laguioles more expensive knives. If you hold one under a light then it's quite easy to see very light handling marks from when they were made.Don't let this put you off though. The quality and nostalgia that people associate with Laguiole is still there, albeit in a slightly more down to earth fashion.Incidently, a Chinese company has started to make Laguiole style knives and cutlery so be careful what you buy :-)
