Fantastic device
I could not be happier with the piano m (lumi keys, they rebranded not so long ago so some stock is under the old name) I had been looking at if for a LONG time and read various bits of information, but when I saw that Amazon were selling it I thought I’d take the plunge. I couldn’t be happier. It’s a right nifty little tool, I am a musician and just need a bit of support with my keyboard skills and this is perfect. To get the most out of it you do need to pay for a monthly subscription to their app, however if you are looking at a way to learn an instrument that is flexible and interactive with feedback and specific guidance this is it. You can connect multiple piano ms to give more keys (one unit is 24 keys, 2 octaves) and so I was a bit worried about the limitations of only having one, I am currently following the lessons and I have had the opportunity to develop skills on each hand individually and then together. It connects via Bluetooth to your iPad or phone (however you do need to connect it to a computer via USB to set it up), abs has super long battery life. The lights are beautiful, the app feels like a game, it’s portable and light, ideal for an ADHD brain like mine. The sound plays through which ever device you have connected it to. And I believe you can connect it to a DAW to use as a midi keyboard which I would be for composition.TLDR: you need an app which you have to paid for on monthly/annual subscription additional to the unit. It’s beautiful, easy to use, small and portable, connects via Bluetooth but needs a usb connection to a computer for first set up. I love it, no regrets. One on one tuition you can fit in to your day as and when!

Be aware of subscription costs
This is a fab little learning keyboard. It's different and it's an engaging way to learn. The app on your phone is easy enough to install and use and the subscription give you lots on the app. However remember you do need a subscription to get the best from this. Seems a lot when the item is pricey too!

Good product but expensive subscription
The keyboard is well made and you definitely get what you pay for. The subscription that is bought separately is quite expensive. Whilst you do get a lot on the app, additional monthly or annual costs will add up very quickly so something to consider.

Ace keyboard, but £70subscription and app bucks.
The keyboard is amazing,However it costs about £70 a year just to use it on subscription. There is no option to sync it with a speaker or device just so you can play the keyboard. The Bluetooth connection is abysmal. Also you'll need to fork out another £200 for the other half of the keyboard.Great keyboard but everything else renders it pointless and mega expensive

Unusable standalone
The device itself looks well made and the rainbow of colours and animation it lights up with is a delight especially for children. However, it literally cannot make a single sound, and therefore is totally unusable, unless paired with a smart device at all times! So if anyone else in the family wants to use your smartphone or tablet for anything else while one of you wants to play - you can’t do it.It MUST be Bluetooth paired and connected using their app and you get literally 10mins of lesson before you have to buy a recurring subscription to their app to continue using it.The app itself is not great and timings of when to play notes are inconsistent and confusing (see app stores reviews).Overall the whole setup feels intentionally designed to trap you into an expensive recurring monthly subscription in addition to the already expensive (not even full or half size keyboard) device at a couple of hundred pounds.

Fantastic tool for learning
A fantastic tool for learning the piano. Really easy to use. Hooked up to iPad and starting having fun in minutes. Lots and lots of songs to choose from. Adds a little bit of fun to learning. The device itself is good quality. I really like that you can purchase another device and they connect them together to increase the size of the keyboard. One thing to bear in mind is that there is a subscription cost of £12.99 per month or £79.99 if paid yearly. It's don't think it's bad value for money, but considering the cost of the device, it's not cheap. It is good that you have the option of paying monthly so you can cancel at any time when you're not using it.
