Worth the money
First time out and I could clearly see what I was missing. This add on is awesome! I played around with a handful of the features and everything seems very user friendly and just takes some exposure time to get familiar with the app. I also purchased the optional mounting for inside of the trolling motor head, would highly recommend. It was a little tight getting the gps unit in the head but happy I did it. One thing to note is there is a lot of cord length. I just used zip ties to clean up the clutter and 3M tape to stick the power module to the side of my copilot. The only recommendation I would have for the PRONAV team is to add route resume to the app, ability to venture slightly off a route then come back to it where you left off.

Not worth the money
Oh where to begin? Customer support sucks. They have limited hours and you can't get ahold of anyone right away. They have to call you back. So being with the unit and talking to them at the same time is next to Impossible. Also their tech support are just a bunch of people who tell you they will relay your message to their tech support team???? Wth I thought I called tech support apparently I called people that don't know anything. I had lots of problems getting it to calibrate. Most of the time it wouldnt. Sometimes it would. Takes forever and a day to get a gps signal. If you're only using your phone as a remote control and you set a route if you get your lure hung up and have to go get your lure off the route you cannot pick up where you left off you have to save the route and then make a new start point or make a new route only the remote control will let you pause the route. The anchor mode really sucks forget trying to stay on top of the brush pile You're just going to move around in a 10-ft radius May never even hit that brush pile again. Also I was set on a route and it ran off course and I almost hit the rocks GPS is just completely inaccurate really don't waste your money on this device I think they had good intentions whenever they designed it but they just didn't design it well enough

Ideal for upgrading older motors
I had an old (circa late 1990/early 2000) Minnkota trolling motor on my boat. By 2018, I wanted to add chart plotting and modern features while trolling and was faced with the choice of spending well over $1000 to buy a completely new trolling motor or try the ProNav. iPilot was not available for my motor. I chose the Pronav purely for the financial savings. I have not been disappointed. The chart plotting has been great especially with the integration with Navionics. I sometimes navigate a weed line or depth contour and then saving the course afterward is relatively easy. Modifying and reversing the route is straightforward.I no longer use the anchor setting and so I cannot comment on how well it keeps the boat in one spot (when I used it, it probably was within a 10ft radius) and I am uncertain if any of the firmware updates or upgraded versions) have improved this. The reason I stopped using the anchor feature was that it ended up twisting around so much that it almost tore the wires off before I noticed it. Apparently this was also noticed by others in their reviews. I do not know if this flaw was ever fixed, but if not, I would highly recommend a de-twisting protocol be added.Remember to adjust your phone/tablet's power saving settings. If your phone goes into power saving, the device will no longer follow course and will start to vector straight. If not for the above two problems, I would have given it 5 stars.I was always contacted quickly from technical service by email when I had questions and they have been very helpful. However, I have never tried to contact them by phone.Overall, if you have an older Minnkota there is nothing that will give you the capabilities this device can unless you spend a significant more to buy a new/modern trolling motor.

Easy install and just plain works! Well worth the money!
I was looking at buying a new trolling motor so I could have the gps and other bells and whistles they come with. Thankfully, Facebook listening to my conversations showed me an ad for the Pro/Nav Angler and after some research I ordered one. I’ve taken the boat out 3 times since I installed and used it every time. I have a deep v hull so the anchor lock doesn’t work to well in wind but all the other features are excellent in my opinion. My Power Drive v2 will stay on my boat until the day it dies now!

Anchor mode sketchy so far
Only had this out 3 times so far.Pros- the app is awesome and easy to use. Had tracks built before the ProNav Angler showed up.It follows the tracks well and stays on course.Haven’t taken it out with the remote; but tested it in the driveway and worked great. Easy to set up. Going to be much easier when anchor mode twists up.Cons- anchor mode has been hit and miss- sometimes it works great then all of the sudden it is wrapped so tight the motor can’t turn anymore. The app for the motor controls works great but being on your phone - your always going to grab it. Fix for this I guess is the remote which I just received.Into it $900 and not happy with anchor mode performance. But have never had a motor with this option so I can’t compare it to anything. Ended up going with the Angler due to back orders of trolling motors with I-pilot link. Not giving up going to keep calibrating and hope to keep the cord wrapping to a minimum.

Spot lock on the cheap !!
So after install and calibration everything worked great ! The route function is amazing , and anchor in place works good . Some times I had to untangle but that rarely happened . My only wish is Pro Nav would make a foot switch for the anchor ! It’s the only real difference between this setup and a 3k Minn kota spot lock !

The best add on to my fishing arsenal!
This device is by far the best addition to my boat. Simple setup, EXCELLENT tech support and the product just plain works. I don’t have to spend all day fighting a foot pedal, wind or currents. I use it with the navionics boating app and can chart and plot unlimited tracks, unlike the I-pilot. It’s definitely made my fishing experience 100 times easier and less frustrating. I can fish more!
