ColumbiaMen's Newton Ridge Plus II Suede Waterproof Hiking Boot

I’ve used these boots for working in construction in snow/ cold for 4 years now. I need flexibility, waterproof, warmth and arch support. These have held up perfectly. I only replace them when I wear the soles out in about six months. But I really put them to the test. They’ve never once allowed water in, torn or come apart. I love the fact that they’re very flexible I can bend down kneel down and they’re not stiff or heavy. I do not need steel toe boots for my work. I also have plantar fasciitis and these are by far the most comfortable boots or shoe I’ve ever put on and I keep a second pair for casual wear. Like any other waterproof shoe or boot they can be a little bit hot if it’s not cold outside, so I wear some type of wool sock to pull moisture away. Traction is pretty unbelievable. I work a lot on ladders slippery icy surfaces and they are just perfect. I hope Columbia reads this- Please don’t change them.

These were a gift for my husband for hiking. He really likes them and says they are very comfortable, with a bit of extra room inside in case you want to wear with thicker socks.

These boots are perfect for winter where you're going between work and home, office or the store, etc. I would not use them to go snowmobiling or do any activity 'in' snow for a long period of time. They are warm and waterproof out of the box. I did not treat the suede at all. Most importantly, they are very comfortable and didn't need any breaking in. I usually go for walks at lunchtime and was worried that they'd be too stiff and harsh on the feet for a mile walk. But they are very pliable and I can do my mile walk with ease. The tread is excellent and I don't feel like they are about to slip out from under me. Comfortable enough to wear all day. They just barely cover the ankle (your ankles may vary). If you're looking for full ankle support/protection, these might not be the pair to buy. But for everything else, they're perfect. I'll search for them again when these wear out.

I bought these boots for my son and they just held up on an icy hike. The fit is true to size, the color and material were as advertised. They are easy to put on and tie and will keep your feet warm and protected during outdoor exploration and fun. They are also easy to clean, bonus! They are waterproof, provide good traction in different weather conditions.

Bought this shoe in Aug of 2022, the only thing I have had to replace is the shoe laces. It’s comfortable, easy to clean and still looks great! I work on a farm and wear these shoes at least 3 days of the week. Spend the extra money, this shoe is worth every penny. You will get the miles. 2 years and 4 months in and still going strong!

As a trucker, I go through many different stages of weather. These boots are very comfortable, has excellent traction in snow and on ice. Keeps the feet and toes warm. Excellent value for the cost.

Definitely waterproof, have been trudging through piles of snow and ice with no issues. They fit great without pinching anywhere. Rugged and well made. Bought them just in time for winter and couldn't be happier.
