7.9 ft 5 piece spinning rod light 24t carbon fiber travel rod and sock
The ferrules of this 5-piece rod are quite stiff and 1 section could not be joined until a little sanding was performed. The guides are too small even for a 100 series ultralight reel. The rod blank has zero flex and no tip feel which compounds the small guides to produce poor casting behavior. When casting with my ultralight 300 series reel it sounds like a thunderstorm as the line is compressed into the first guides.
