I currently have 4 chainsaws of various sizes, 3 that are battery powered and 1 that is gas powered. As with all chainsaws the problem is keeping the chains sharp. I buy good quality chains so they do stay sharp for some time but they do still need to be sharpened periodically. Looking it over I see that it is well made and it looked like it would do the job. After reviewing the instructions carefully I put it together and brought out one of my saws so that I could sharpen my first chain. If you follow the instructions you'll have no problems in getting the chain sharpened. It's simple to operate once you get it aligned and you turn the crank and it sharpens the blades. It sharpens them quite well and it doesn't require too much time to complete the task.Included in the kit is the main body of the sharpener, the crank, a cleaning brush, and a pair of gloves that would fit a 5 year old (they were very small). I was able to sharpen all of my chain saw blades and it worked flawlessly.
