A delightful book. Everything you'll need. I love the Vanilla Melting Moments, Banana and Peanut Butter Muffins, Macaroni Cheese, Green Leaf and Pea Soup, Risotto Verde, jam and much more. I keep coming back to this book. Instructions are easy to follow and you will want to cook them. Lovely pictures with some of the recipes.I also love Rachel's Food for Living book. If you are young and new to cooking then either one or both of these books will be all you need for a lifetime. Delicious!

I love this book - I've cooked so many recipes from it and they all turn out great. I love Rachel's approach - there's too many tv chefs who use tv to show off their restaurant food, yet fewer and fewer people cook at home. This book is full of easy, great food you can cook at home for everyday meals. If you are having friends round, try the lamb tagine recipe - it's to die for!

I own Rachel’s Easy Meals which was very disappointing. In contrast this book has many recipes I look forward to cooking especially some great ideas for the grandchildren. The recipes are uncomplicated letting the quality of the ingredients shine through.

On the basis that most people only use 2 recipes out of every cookery book they have, then this one is a definite success as I have done and reproduced at least 6. It is particularly good for ideas for large parties of 10 or more, which don't leave you shackled to the cooker. But I don't want to see endless photos of Rachel Allen and her family/friends in various situations looking like a Boden catalogue. Note to publishers - include photos of the recipes instead NOT of her.

This is one of many books by Rachel Allen that I have brought. Always a safe bet to buy for yourself or for a present for someone of any cooking ability

Excellent! The test of a good cook book is how often you make recipes from it. I think this is her best cookbook and certainly the one of hers I refer to the most. The Lemon Shortbread biscuits are made weekly at my house and the best shortbread recipe I've tried, and the lemon ice cream is permenant stock in the freezer. I agree it's not for everyone and some recipes are a little lacklustre but this is a book for everyday eating and I find Rachel's recipe very reliable which is sometimes all you want.

This is a fun cookbook and I enjoy reading it and referencing it. Excellent purchase.

I just like Rachel Allen. After seeing her on TV for the first time I liked her recipes right away and after watching some more cooking series I wanted to buy a book with her recipes. The first one was "Entertaining at Home" which I like also, but in "Rachel's Favourite Food" there are more family hits which maybe not so fancy as in the "Entertaining" but not less tasty at all.
