I only own pricey, great chef knives. I've been a chef for over forty years, and many know me, follow me, and buy off my recommendations. For my knives, I use various sharpening methods, including stones, electric sharpeners, and steels, to achieve a fine finish. This diamond steel I purchased after reading great reviews. As noted, it's one that sharpens more than hones. After using them, my knives were all razor sharp. For sure, I recommend this product. Know, over time it wears down, so replace when you notice the steel losing its coating

Excellent quality, performs great…..

Only used this 12” diamond honing blade a couple times so far, but it definitely does something—my knives went from “butter-spreader” to “surgically concerning” real quick.Seems well-made, feels like it could double as a medieval weapon if things go sideways in the kitchen. Can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but for now it’s doing its job and keeping my blades sharp enough to make onions cry in fear before I cut them.Will update if it ever gains sentience.
