BARDSTOWN BENCH

When i opened the box a bunch of screws fell out- thanksfully i didnt step on any. The seat cushion is screwed to the frame, but 5 of the 6 screws were out. Also, the middle wood panel was broken. All that was securing it was a wooden peg!I glued the middle panel in place using wood glue. I screwed the 5 screws back in place, but noticed they immediately fell out of the prescrewed holes. So i moved the brackets to an angle to drill a new hole - now it doesnt budge.Overall very happy with it. Sitting on it it feels very sturdy for my big size. The cushion is very nice. However to add more sturiness i cut 2 2x4's and screwed them in the middle, and used wood glue. With the improvement i feel its much more safe with several people sitting on it. I used a lot of wood glue through assembly so it should last a long time.When i bought this i got it for a good price. Because it arrived damaged and was dated 9/2012, it likely got damaged before shipment- probably during storage. Maybe thats why i got a good deal? Overall im happy with my buy and would highly recommend this bench - just dont rush assembly! Get some good quality wood glue. Make sure you have a power screw driver. Make sure you have an extension (i dont know the technical term) so you can screw the screws in. Let the glue dry before using.Lastly, the bottom of the legs have holes for pussing in protection for floors, but i couldnt find anything. So if you have wood floors like me, youll need to buy something to put on the bottom of the legs. Again, no big deal, a couple bucks at a home improvement store will fix you. As long as you get this for a good price the money you save could cover any additional expenses.

The bench looks really nice and good quality. I bought it to serve the purpose of two chairs at my counter height table. I also bought the Poundex Chairs in Dark brown. The colors match perfectly. The bench has a nice softy padded seat. It was easy to assemble too. The only thing that I have a problem with is the crosspiece where people will rest their feet as they sit seems like it could snap under pressure. It has held up so far and I would still have purchased it knowing this. I put glue on each screw while assembling it to toughen it up as much as possible. This helped a lot. It was a great value, well worth the money.

This is a beautiful bench and made very well. It was sent in excellent condition and packaged with great care. It did not match my existing furniture, so I had to return it. The company worked hard to meet my guidelines and gave great customer service in the end. Thank you!

Not as sturdy as i hope, but overall pretty decent to use

I bought this in 2012 and the product still looks great. Not a single rip or tear, all the buttons are still attached and legs look great

Wobbles. We had to get longer screws as the ones provided didn't work. We have tightened everything but it still wobbles. It is fine for three little grandkids, but I'd worry if two adults sat on it. The wood is fine, the vinyl is thin. We use it for a "couch table" when it's not being used as a bench up at the bar.

Absolutely love this bench! Fits perfect under our counter and it is big enough to fit 4 people! Recommend it!
