This drone is truly a great drone. The drone is quick and maneuverable, plus has great GPS positioning. When flying it over open space, the camera streams to the phone with roughly a .5 second delay. Usable in winds up to eight or so miles per hour, but more than that can cause the drone to sway and thus create an uneven flight. The battery life is also very good, and while streaming I get about a 15 minute flight. The flight parameters are 120 meters(393 feet) high, and 400 meters(1312 feet) away from home(GPS takeoff point). The setup of the drone is simple and easy. When cloudy, the drone may take a while to connect to GPS, but I have never had too much trouble getting it to connect. At worst, it took about 2 minutes to connect. And finially, the camera. the camera has great resolution and a good field of view. it is not a full gimbal, because it lacks the ability to rotate left to right. However, the camera does rotate a good 90 degrees up and down, providing for the ability to take a photo looking level with the surrounding land, or looking down onto your land. the great resolution makes for high quality, plus the ability to up the resolution even more by inserting an sd card into the drone. the images on the sd card will be of better resolution than is taken through streaming to the phone. Overall, the Holy Stone 270 is truly a great drone. Definitely would recommend.

The media could not be loaded. It is worth every penny excellent once you learn. I had several bumps along the way. Warning in tight places use extreme caution I didn't so it crashed. This much I'll say I liked it so much I bought another still in scratch and dent section. If Holy Stone wants to send me one I would love it. I am looking at it like this it's fun now I have an extra battery and 8 blades and some back up arms but my new one is on its way. The camera excellent, lift off excellent. back to home excellent but must have space to find it's spot. It survived two collisions with trees falling in leaves but concrete from 90 feet not good. Practice using the colors to see front and back very important in tight spaces. Anyone who reads this buy it well worth it better than Disney and only 150.00

I’m going to go a bit against some of the more positive reviews here, but I’m not sure the HS270 is the best value for its price.I have flown a few $40-$50 toy quadcopters, and compared to those, this drone does fly well. It responds well to the controls, and resists wind to a decent degree. The flight time on a full battery was about 8 minutes for me, which seemed a bit quick, but tolerable if you have extra batteries. Overall, flying the drone was fun and not particularly difficult.What was most frustrating about this drone is what didn’t work.The camera / associated app never worked for me (one of the big selling points of this drone was being able to stream to a connected smartphone). I tried a few different models of android device with no success streaming to either one. I also tried recording video onto a microSD card in the drone – I found that I could snap individual pictures, but videos recorded from the drone were all an unreadable file format. The remote also did not work well. The remote does charge but won’t show indicator lights when it is charging. It was always functional, that was just a bit irritating.Overall, I don’t recommend this drone due to the finnicky, possibly nonfunctional camera and similarly low-quality remote, but that could also just be chalked up to me getting a bad unit.

UPDATED: I made the foolish mistake of purchasing another one, thinking I must have just gotten a dud. This one lasted 20 minutes until the battery swelled up and was nearly impossible to remove from the unit. My photos compare the swollen one to the other, normal one. The affected battery is now literally sitting in the middle of my backyard because I'm concerned it's going to explode and start a fire. I have no idea how I'm even supposed to return the unit now given this condition and will have to spend even more time jumping through hoops to figure out what Holy Stone/Amazon want me to do with this. Moral of the story, quality control isn't a strength of this brand, and I definitely won't be trying my luck again with this.Original revirw: Really disappointed with this unit. Before you can fly it, you have to calibrate it, which involves holding it above your head and spinning around several times looking like a human windmill. It typically takes me four or five tries to get it calibrated, after which I then have to calibrate it horizontally, which makes me look like twice the fool that I already look like to everyone around me. Then, the drone only connects to the app about a quarter of the time, even when all the steps are followed, so I'm not able to take pictures most of the time that I use it. By the time you get the calibration and the app finally configured, the first battery is dead, and to swap the batteries you have to repeat all of the steps already listed above, so you end up with only about 20 minutes of actual fun flying time before having to charge the batteries which takes about eight hours total for the two of them. I will be attempting to return this and will not purchase another.

Very good drone, easy to fly, and feature-rich. One of my only complaints and that is not about the product per se, is the apparent lack of support for this drone by the company. the only accessory that they are selling at this moment are the propellers, but no batteries at all. this basically forces you to eventually just buy another drone or tinker with it when the batteries inevitably become old and start failing.
