Microwave Bacon Tray with Splatter Lid,(red) Safety, Quick and with No Mess, Microwave Bacon Cooker Make Crispy Bacon in few Minutes

My husband is the majority of the bacon eater in my house. He used the Microwave Bacon Tray with Splatter Lid and he was impressed with it. He is rarely impressed with much, so that is saying a lot.There was no mess or splatter outside of the tray. It goes through the dishwasher very well without incident. We obviously have smaller slices of bacon than others, because ours fit in the tray perfectly.He made the comment that it was pretty amazing and much quicker and better than in a pan on the stove.

Two slices of bacon at 2-1/2 minutes in a high-powered microwave oven will result in crispy bacon, with little to no fat (the bacon grease drips between the grooves). Made of thick plastic, the Microwave Lidded Bacon Crisper includes an instruction sheet for proper usage. What's nice about the lid is that it prevents bacon grease from splattering inside the microwave, although the cleanup afterwards between the slotted grooves takes a few minutes to perform properly. Although there is a caution to handle with oven mitts, I found that the side handles were not hot, and easy to pick up right out of the microwave.Sadly, the unit simply isn't large enough for standard store-bought bacon. Fresh, uncooked bacon resulted in about an inch hanging over the sides. I tried it in both directions, and the results were the same. I had to cut the bacon in half, which defeats the purpose of trying to cook 4-6 slices of bacon at the same time. However, cooking time is minimal, and the taste of bacon is excellent. I just don't see it being practical due to its small size.Slightly Not Recommended. Made in China.

First of all, then color is perfect…red is my fave color 😊 The plastic seems sturdy, hard to bend. The lid simply rests on top, it doesn’t snap. It says it’s dishwasher safe. I admit I haven’t used it yet. Hopefully when I do, I’ll remember to update my review. I’m actually looking forward to trying it since I don’t fry bacon in grease anymore.

I tried this for our breakfast and it really never got to crisping before burning the ends and being soft in the center of the plate. I took the bacon out and finished it in the frying pan after a few tries. Probably not going to be using this for bacon. Might use it as a microwave tray of some sort.

So, it does cook your bacon and for the most part it does so without to much of a mess but that does not mean you don't have to clean out your microwave after using it, it just means it will be easier to clean if you use the bacon cooker like directed too.

Seems like a decent quality microwave bacon tray. The food-safe red plastic is thick and sturdy, and the wells on the tray are deep enough to contain a good amount of bacon grease. The lid, while it doesn't latch, rests on top of the tray enough to prevent splatters. And the included instructions provide details on how to use the bacon tray properly to prevent melting.My issue with this tray is its size. The bacon I purchase is longer than this tray by a few inches. I don't like having to cut the pieces in half or fold them over in order for them to fit. While it may cook the halved bacon just fine, it takes twice as long to cook the bacon that I need for my family of four.The tray is just too small. I need a different tray.

I've owned several different types of microwave bacon cookers and this one, in my opinion, ranks among the best. 4-5 slices of bacon can be cooked to perfection in just a few minutes and the cover prevents any grease splatter in the microwave so that's a huge plus. Clean up is relatively easy and the grease drains off with no spillage.

It’s absolutely positively true. And it’s my new favorite kitchen gadget. The only mess to clean up is inside the pan when you’re done. A little hot water, throw it in the dishwasher, and VOILA! As good as new!
