Severance: Season 1 [Blu-Ray]

Absolutely amazing tv show. So glad I bought it to get into. I watched season 2 on Apple TV+ because I couldn’t wait for it to come out on bluray. Although, the second it’s out on it’ll be mine too. The cinematography, audio, and cast are all phenomenal. I can’t wait for season 3!!

Masterpiece of a show! Highly recommend! Fantastic acting, plot, and pacing! One of the best in a while and a wonderful commentary on corporate culture.

I've seen only 3 episodes of this series of 9 so far and can say with confidence that this is the most entertaining, brilliant work of art that grabbed my attention from the first 15 minutes into it and had me riveted to the screen during all three episodes. OK so, OK, what's important for you to know? It's a psychological thriller and horror series, (my description), horror because the characters' fear is palpable. Actors and acting amazing, making it feel so real, cinematography the best since the old days of the famous auteurs, as well as the art direction. And the writing!-Look out Steven King!- With a keen sense of mordant humour, satire understates it, towards today's corporate living. The "incentives" and "prizes" in the guidebook would be funnier ( if that's possible!), if they weren't so real! Because I haven't streamed my entertainment yet, I'm the equivalent of the person who doesn't get out much anymore but I'm hooked now and looking forward to more, with this establishing the standard for this format. Having said that, is this the Ben Stiller of Zoolander and Meet the Fockers? I haven't researched this yet and risk exposing my ignorance but if it is, wonders never cease! WOW!

I wish physical media was more popular. This show is great (and trippy) and I hope the second season gets a blu-ray release as well!

Let's address the elephant in the room: Season 1 of "Severance" is quite possibly some of the best television ever made. It's quirky, it's funny, it's horrifyingly serious, it's wildly entertaining, and it's thoroughly engrossing. So much obvious love and care was put into the writing, designing, acting, directing, filming, and editing of this show that it comes as a huge disappointment that the same level of care wasn't put into its much-deserved physical release. Let's be honest: streaming services have been trying to kill physical media for a long time, and they've been so successful at whittling down the consumer base that only cinephiles and collectors are still regularly buying physical releases of tv shows. With that being the case, why haven't we gotten a 4K UHD release? A standard blu-ray is certainly better than nothing, but cinephiles and collectors are willing to pay for top-of-the-line video and audio quality. Apple is leaving money on the table by not releasing a collector's edition of this incredible season on 4K, complete with behind-the-scenes featurettes and commentary tracks.

I don't like to watch series that come roaring out the gate and win tons of awards. I usually wait a year or two to see shows like that. It was made easier since subscribing to Apple+ for a month to watch it was such a pain. But, oh my god, what a show. I still don't know if it all takes place in an alternate reality or what. But much of the feel of the show, the locations indoors especially, feel like something from my past. There's an incredibly disturbing evilness somewhere in the background that's hinted at. I found it very disturbing to watch but couldn't look away.

Amazing show! Seasons 1 and 2 are fantastic in every which way! Can’t wait for season 2 on Blu-ray. Wish they released a 4K with HDR cause I’d definitely upgrade if they did!

I love Severance. It’s my most rewatched show in decades, so I’m thrilled to be able to own it on Blu-ray. I know people are complaining it’s just 1080 and not 4K, and I get that. They all want the “new” thing, but this set was excellent quality and the episodes look and sound terrific to me. In fact, I noticed details I didn’t notice while streaming, so it’s great quality, okay?? Love my set. Please purchase it and distributors, please make sure we get every season of Severance on Blu-ray in the future too!! Thanks! Praise Kier!!

What a great and unexpected show this is, it's like a 2001 A Space Odyssey. this one has more humans though. I wonder if everything will be reveal in season 2. maybe not. hope it goes awhile more.
