HazerBaba Turkish Delight Almonds - 454grams

I have tried several of this brands Turkish delights (8 varieties!), and these are among my favorites. These Turkish delights are on the larger side, and have a good natural almond flavor and crunch. I do love the hospitality aspect of these treats, as well as enjoy them on my own. They are about 2cm cubes, and I appreciate the ability to moderate my intake of them. The nuts are sparse but present in each cube, and there is an extremely generous costing of powdered sugar. They are a tad dry, but that is expected from commercial turkish delights. It doesnt take away from their enjoyment. The nut flavor is present and really well balanced with the sweetness of the sugar. The texture is very chewy, but they dont melt easily.

I enjoy Turkish delight candy, so it’s no surprise I liked these. I hadn’t tried a variety with almonds before and I am glad I did. The almond flavor is predominant and certainly overrides the caramel flavor. I didn’t mind though. They are chewy and taste very fresh. The almonds are not too hard, but add a nice texture. It’s definitely a very sugary and messy treat, but a couple pieces usually curbs my sweet tooth.
