Bug Hunting Kits
This children's insect catching set is designed with children's usage habits and safety in mind. The catching net, observation box, magnifying glass and other tools included in the set are made of environmentally friendly, non-toxic materials with smooth edges and no sharp corners, effectively avoiding the risk of scratches that children may encounter in the process of use. In addition, the design of the catching net and observation box also gives full consideration to the safety of insects and avoids harming them, reflecting the educational concept of respecting life. The set not only provides the necessary catching tools, but is also accompanied by a detailed insect observation guide and science knowledge cards, which help children learn the basic characteristics, habits and other scientific knowledge of insects while catching them, and cultivate their observation and curiosity. Through observing insects, children can understand the mysteries of nature more intuitively and inspire their interest in and respect for biodiversity. The catch net in the set is designed to be lightweight and easy to operate, even for younger children. The observation box is transparent and has a magnifying function, which makes the details of the insects clearly visible and enhances the fun of observation. In addition, the kit provides enough storage space for children to store their captured insects (before releasing them, of course), as well as their observation notes and science cards, making it both practical and fun.

A very nice basic bug hunting set for the little ones
My son's now studying about insects at school, so I thought some hands on experience with them would be a great addition to his studies!Includes quite a lot of help things, such as a small tank that has a long strap so they can focus on holding the tools, a small capture tool, a small net, a magnifying glass, tweezers, and a small set of plastic insects. We found that the plastic insects were handy for showing my son how to gently and safely capture live insects and deposit them into the tank for viewing. The tank includes some sort of scope which slightly magnifies them - it's good for keeping them in focus, though you may struggle with fast runners! You do get a larger magnifier that you can hold up to the side to get a better view. We're planning a trip to the nearby forest to try our luck capturing some creepy crawlies, so will update this with more pictures and feedback, but initial impressions with this are great!

A fun idea for little explorers
My little boy loves exploring nature and being outdoors so I know he is going to love this kit.It comes in the box (as pictured on my photo) which is a really eye catching design and well packaged - it would make a great present for somebody. My only concern is that little ones have the potential to be a little heavy handed with the 'tools' and end up hurting creatures, however at the young age they are I guess this is no different to them picking up and handling them with their fingers.

Super little bug kit
This Funsland Bug Hunting kit is great. Most little ones are fascinated by bugs, and for those that don't like to touch, this is ideal. Everything has a use, even the imitation bugs to get them used to the real thing. The scope could do with a better magnifier in it, but for little ones that would not mean much. A great introductory kit, nicely presented in a box so ideal for gifting, and priced at £17.99 at the time of this review

Fun and engaging
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ The bright and colourful chunky plastic makes it really visually appealing and great.for introducing children into a world of discovery of insects.+ There are lots of little accessories in here, although really I'd say the net and the insect box are the most useful items.+ Fun and engaging. The strap helps with usability and the releasing door is secure, but easy to open when the time comes.Things I didn't like:- The little magnifier is a fun addition, but in actuality, it's not very clear, a little blurry and doesn't offer much magnification anyway.- The price of £18 seems a little expensive.Do I recommend it?Yes, particularly if the price comes down to somewhere around the 13 to 15 pound range.

Bug hunt kit
Excellent box with viewer for a bug hunt. The kit comes with some fake bugs as well as a net, scoop and tweezers. The magnifier can be twisted as the bug moves around the box. The eye piece can be pulled in and out to zoom. The kit arrives in a box suitable to give. as a gift. Ideal for reception age children who will do bug hunts at school but also great for a visit to a park.

age appropriate
Ideal for the age its aimed at, little kids will love it, not sure on the use of some of the items, don't quite know how you could use the capture devices as feel you would be likely to catch a stray leg or something in them if you tried to use the scissor type item. The bug box is great, a good size and great that you can hang round neck or shoulder when off on a bug hunt, the magnifying glass was a little blurry, but works(ish)The fan creepy crawlies would be good to scare your mum :)
