Well worth it!
Glad I bought these! They are cool as hell to shoot at targets they look just like a tracer round going down range and they make it easy to find the arrow after shooting at an animal. I shot a doe just before end of legal shooting time today and had a pass thru just behind the shoulder that came out her mid section. I doubt I would have found the bolt if it wasn't for the lumenok. It had buried itself under some brush with just the last inch sticking out. I would think that if the bolt had hit a tree or rock and became unusable the lumenok would have been fine and could have been installed in another bolt. The price for these pre assembled is a tad bit cheaper than buying separate and assembling yourself. If you all ready have a lot of fire bolts it would be better to just buy them separate and install, or buy theses and as the bolts become un-servicable move them to the other bolts. To remove the threaded inserts screw a field tip into it and heat it with a lighter. use pliers to pull it out. then us a .38 cal brass brush to clean the residue and install lumenok (I learned that from googling). Also last year I killed a hog and missed another one and never could find the bolts.I probably could have with these.

Absolutely great arrows, but horrible quality control and/or design
This is my second order of these arrows. When the first set came in, two of the three arrows were nice and bright, but one was very dim. I think the battery was mostly dead. Fortunately Amazon has an excellent return policy and I swapped out the first order for a second. The second set is fine; all three arrows are bright with fresh batteries. However all six arrows suffer from the same problem, and that is even if you turn them off, they spontaneously can turn themselves back on again. I bought and use the official Lumenok Bednar Extinguisher (which I strongly recommend) and it really helps. However even after using that to turn my arrows off, and looking very closely to ensure they really were off, I've seen them come back on again up to 15 minutes later. Most of the time when they come back on, it is with a very faint glow. But even that is enough to drain your battery over time, making them completely dead the next time you want to use them.I've found myself turning them off, then setting them aside in a dark place for at least 15 minutes, just to make sure they're not going to rise again like a phoenix, only to die for good. These arrows are a great concept, but are poorly implemented. They make target shooting fun and hunting much easier to find your arrow. I love the arrows - when they work. But Lumenok needs to look at their design, or their quality control, for they have some fundamental flaw.Oh, as an aside, the first set had yellow fletchings. The second set had green. Other than that the arrows were exactly the same. Also the standard Excalibur threaded nock was removed before installation of the illuminated Lumenok nock. The overall arrow length is just slightly longer with the installed Lumenoks, but my point of impact is almost exactly the same, so that small fractional part of an inch makes little difference in accuracy.

I am glad I got these
After losing a few without the Lumenok, I am glad I got these. Getting the nock to turn off is tricky, a rubber coated gardening glove does the trick for me.

nice
works as intended, can find bolts easily. noks are not finger easy, I use a pair of pliers to reset them.

Bright white vanes on hunting bolts??
Just received my order today. The bolts came with bright white vanes! Why would you put bright white vanes on bolts meant for hunting???? The picture of the bolts have green/brown vanes. That is just like other firebolts I have. Did they just stick the lighted nocks on some bolts they wanted to get rid of??? I might return them.

Great product
I ordered a 6pk of the Crossfire Bolts for my Excal xbow and then installed the lumenocks on them myself. While that went well, it it much easier to get them this way, and the cost difference is negligible.

Lighter nock difficult to turn off
The arrows designed for crossbows are high quality and the lumenocks activate properly and display a bright signature when fired, but they are difficult to turn off. Even when you think they are off they will often come back on, draining the battery. I have used lumenocks for compound bows for years and have never encountered this problem.

Work great!! Great idea for Archery hunters
Work great!! Great idea for Archery hunters. Bought the flat nock for my husband for a Christmas present. Realized next hunting season that he actually needed crescent nocks. Contacted Lumenok by email. The owner of the business called and made an exchange. So refreshing to have a company who cares about customer satisfaction and actually picked up the phone and call the customer. They said call anytime with any issues. Highly recommended!!!
